Somebody got paid a lot of money for that. They could have just asked any of these online graphic designers to mock a few up for them, definitely would have seem better results.

It will be changed anyway.

They've gotten a new club crest.  Just look at it

It might be worse than anything in the history of the world, ever.

Someone should photoshop a knife into his hand.

Leeds fans have had it hard - good set of fans and should be nowhere near where they are. A club gravely mismanaged.

Maybe I'm old fashioned and this is all part of the natural progression of football but that just seems wrong. Same with the recentish Juve crest change. Wales to get a new crest next? (Points for anyone who can spot the link ;) )

I've got no love for Leeds Utd but some things are best not messed with!

If you move the guy’s fist you find this Pink Floyd sleeve underneath.

Coming from a Leeds supporting family, I think this is hilarious.

However - I don't get this reference. And I despite only listening to Piper and Dark Side only this week, I'm not a big enough Floyd fan to get  the reference, and now it's irritating me ;D

Don't think it's a Pink Floyd reference so much as playing on the fact if that you moved the player's arm it would reveal the badge which is an image of the player's arm covering the badge and so on and so forth :P

Leeds United will take another look at their new crest after it received widespread criticism.

The badge was described as "awful", "horrendous" and "shocking" by fans after it was unveiled on Wednesday.

"We need to reopen the consultation process," the club's managing director Angus Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds.

"Because the direction is so distinctive and breaks with a lot of conventions, that consultation process hasn't gone deep enough."

Within hours of the new crest being revealed, 51,000 people had signed an online petition to have the the badge changed.

It is set to mark the club's centenary in 2019 and be used from the start of next season.

The Championship club say more than 10,000 people were consulted during six months of research and it "represents the passion and the unique identity that runs deep through the club".

"I genuinely feel excited about the passion of Leeds fans. It's slightly unfortunate it's been demonstrated in this way but it reinforces what a big fanbase we are," Kinnear continued.

"Transparency has been at the heart of everything we do. We're not going to hide. We're big enough to take the feedback and engage with supporters and they should trust us to do the right thing."

Similarly, in 2013 Everton were forced to alter their redesign after fans complained about the removal of the club motto.

Nah it was clearly the idea from bringing in consultant's for rebranding purposes. Not sure why. But nobody would purposely do that. If the club had any sense they'd ask for designs submitted like some of the great ones on the twitter page you referenced. They probably could have saved a fortune and PR grief had they offered the likes of him some monetary compensation or perhaps a lifetime season ticket. Or have their fans vote on one of three options.

well then, it is a realy bad decision... what would other sport clubs in world do to have a history as many english clubs do and they come up with a badge that is imo disconected from this tradition as much as it can be...

some badges don´t need update, but some need few touches and heart... the above link proves a fan can make better work than a professional many times..

this goes for shirt designs etc... i wonder why there are people in sport who can´t appreciate or ask fans more what they want.. without fans this sport is dead. i mean real match going fans mostly.
