Has there ever been much buzz (if it's defined by PPV numbers) if it didn't involve Brock or Connor outside of Rhonda.

Its a long way back to the likes of Rampage v Rashad and Chuck v Tito II.

Buzz is over rated, GSP or Jones never did big PPV but I was always happy to watch them.

I'll be happy to see Ngannou go headhunting as well.

There should be huge buzz over what Cormier is trying to achieve to do as well. Cos when Connor was going for it, it was all we ever heard about.

Missed this before, and yes there was a significant interest in the sport from TUF 1 onwards. The buyrates tell the story, the sport was huuuuuuge in 2008, and came close to that with Ronda and Conor in recent years.

GSP was a significant draw on PPV, not at the Brock/Conor/Ronda level but right beneath them for sure.
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor

Looking back, GSP and Jones were invariably good for 7-800 buys. Not the 1-1.1 of Rhonda or Brock or the 1.3-1.5 of Connor but up on the 5-600k of the norm back then.

It would have been interesting to throw back Conor and Rhonda to those days to see how popular they were.

There's definitely over saturation and just not as many good fighters.

Less PED's as well :D

I'm sure it won't be long before we see him again in action with Khabib

I know Max is on a roll but I can’t see anything but an Ortega win. He is too big at the weight ,his stand up and work rate is equal to Max and his jitz is levels above

I fancy DC too in a 3-2 controversy

I’ll stay up until 6am when a card is worth it to watch it live and I’ll defo be doing that this Saturday. Can’t wait. I kind of fancy DC too I think but Stipe seems to always be written off. Wouldn’t want to bet on it. I’m leaning towards Holloway as I think he’s great at managing the distance but it’s tough because Ortega can end the fight at any time if he gets a hold of you (or even his much improved striking these days). There’s some really good cards coming up over the next month. The UFC on fox card in a few weeks looks really good and looking forward to 227 as well.

Also for what it’s worth, there’s a rumour that McGregor-Khabib will be announced in a press conference tomorrow.

Ridiculous. This never seemed to happen in the good old days or maybe it wasn't reported as much. Seems to be a regular thing in ufc  these days.

I miss McGregor.
His interviews,  general attitude,  his fights,  but especially,  I miss the fact that he's seemingly the only top draw fighter that always shows up , and should his opponent cancel. He'll fight any replacement. Arrogant,  cocky, overrated,  whatever. He always completed his commitments towards the fans come fight night.

I don't recall him missing a fight. :)

Scheduled fights, yeah for sure, he goes through with it regardless.

How many fights has Max pulled out on? They've all been legitimate reasons but it's just happened to him a lot lately

Drug testing and the earlier weigh in rules are your enemy mostly. A concussion sounds like a training incident though.

Yeah you shouldn't really be sparring heavy so close to a fight. As I said before, McGregor's no contact sparring should really be standard practice now.

Cormier tripped, fell, and was limping after the press conference. He says he's fine and will fight but what the actual fuck.

He fell weirdly hard for somebody moving so slowly. Like a Neymar dive.

It's like he tripped on a cable or something and lost his entire balance.

Also no clear diagnosis on Max, but he's not fighting anytime soon
