thanks for your input. Couldn’t recall whether the Inge was a middle name or part of the surname although he didn’t use it. Any other helpful suggestions as we already established half of us can’t count above

10 or more, I'm not a sadist. I also have to admit that I should specify better, at the top I said defenders, I had Mascherano playing full back. Sorry for the excess head scratching caused.

In all there is probably enough for a team and a decent bench, especially if you have a couple of the kids that played this year.

The hard ones are the old ones, Alf Arrowsmith, John McLaughlin etc. The scottish ones are always hard because the difference between a Mc a McC and a Mac is all the difference

If my insomnia is too great then these sort of things usually work better than sheep. I was having poor sleep early in Lockdown and I tried naming as many Liverpool players as I could, I got to 227 and I was still awake, bastard worries.

Was a good question Black Bull. Must admit feeling pretty smug when I remembered Arrowsmith, but did have to check when he played. For some reason get him mixed up with Alan A’Court who is from the early sides I think, think it’s the AA Initials.

Which is a pretty fair team if you add in Mike Marsh and either Ronnie Rosenthal (14 goals and a shocking miss from 66 games) or Alf Arrowsmith (8 years, 24 goals from 56 games, 15 goals in 20 games when we won the league in 1964) given the limitations on who could be selected.
