He loves a crowd and will benefit from that this season. One of my favourite Liverpool players ever.

Benefited a lot from a break rather than having to go to Brazil (wouldn't have played at all had he been called up).

Wish we could get a few more international retirements.

It was a Dirk Kuyt hat trick versus United performance.

We are a much better team when Bobby is confident and looking to get into the six yard.

Scored 9 goals each the last two seasons,  should be no problem to beat.
His best is 15, also within reach if he suddenly adds tapins to his arsenal

The goals were nice enough. Shows he's sharp as ever.
But the celebrations though.... the celebrations! the little dance with Sadio, then the sticking three in his pocket kinda thing. Not to mention the trademark flying kung fu kick towards Mo. Lovely stuff.

Last year was suck a clusterF in so many ways, but it is nice to know that there are a few out there who recognized Bobby had not lost anything (other than most of his teammates and the supporters).

Now, it's still early and things change quickly in this game (just take a look at how bad Danny Rose was on Saturday morny) but it is wholly probable that Bobby never left.

Yep. Always seemed like a proper Liverpool player! A work horse of a forward, but with skill- and a team player. A not-so-common combination.

That performance in the Club World Cup will always define Firmino for me. He wanted to win that trophy- above all. Seems he wasn't going to come back without silverware and a performance. Like the boy who made a name for himself abroad, but felt the need to prove it to the folks back "home" by winning a trophy that matters a lot to South Americans.
The joy on his face when we won that game!

Yorkie would have something to say about this, but he's a fine forward in the tradition of Kuyt. Selfless and absolutely valuable.

His passing is usually 50/50, he was really loose with his passing against Watford too, despite the hattrick.  But his other qualities are what keep him in the team, just doesn't ever stop, and his touch is insane.

Was typified by his effort in the 96th minute when he chased down their centre back, forcing him backwards and chewing another 20-30 seconds off the clock.

I like Kuyt - was a good player for us - ran into the ground. But I can't say that I was excited to watch DK play.

Bobby on the other hand is just an absolute joy to watch even when things don't come off. He's one of the few flair players that still is a team player as well. Joy to watch.

We will all look back in 10 years and realize how fucking boss he actually was.

(and one of the best songs of the last 10 years too).

Yep, that was great. Scoring the winner in the semi and the final just made sure of his legacy, as if it wasn't already secure. Then he came back and scored two against Leicester in our best performance of that season.

The bolded part is spot on as well, he's a unique player and all the better for it!
