For me, I'm not so sure. They've cheated to get where they are, I don't really want to congratulate them on winning any trophy on the back of it.

Serious question, but if FSG decided to sell up and new owners came in and done a City, would you still be pissed off?

Depends where the owners are coming from and what they're involved in.

I’m not buying in to the shit talk about United rolling over for City, for the following reasons:

* It’s the Manchester derby
* A reaction from the United players is expected because of the dreadful result vs Everton
* The race for top 4
* Wage cut of 25% if they don’t qualify for next year’s CL
* There are now Neville or Beckham in the United team, players from the continent don’t give a fuck about us winning the title, they don’t give a fuck about the rivalry with us.
* Palace victory vs Arsenal yesterday

They will bee up for it for sure, but will the effort be enough to take points of City, probably not.
I think City will nick it 0-1. Unfortunately, I think we lost the league In January and February when we got draws vs Leicester and West Ham.

For me, yes. Think everyone at this club - Owners, directors, recruitment, fitness, manager, backroom staff, players and fans are elite and crucially, united, for the first time in my memory.

FSG haters always had reductive arguments that didn't acknowledge our current situation and the landscape in which we were competing. It was always going to take time, and require crucial achievements along the way, namely consecutive Champions League qualifications and good Champions League showings. That's what enables you to sign and retain, while paying, elite players.

This club is happy and healthy. Wouldn't want anything to disrupt that.

If we were taken over by a similar regime I think I would stop supporting the club. I'd still watch football but I'd no longer have a team.

Got to laugh though. The Red mancs knowing that we're all hoping for them to win while most of them are desperate that they lose!!  ;D.   Half their team will be playing their bollocks off for their careers and the other half playing for a move!!

yes, United were shite but worth remembering in the last 17 they have won 12 drawn 2 and lost 3, they are not that shite. Given that, City should still beat them.

Worth pointing out that Leicester ave lost 1 in 6 and Burnley have 3 wins on the bounce.

Hope lives.
Sorry I watched them against Everton. They didnt even try to win. That statistic is flawed, it was just a short-term new manager bounce. They are going downwards, and with that squad of shite overpaid primmadonas Im not surprised. Thats my only question - will they put in a fight against City or just roll over like yesterday..

If a team like the current Man Utd go try to go toe-to-toe with a team like City surely they (Utd) will get torn apart.

It looks like this Hodgsons "two banks of four" is almost over. Good teams are now patience, and their chance will come sooner rather then later. United have to press City hard and high but with Matič, Pogba and Lukaku in your team, you cant press a tomato.

Don't really buy into this whole 'they are fighting for survival' spin for some of City's oppoonents.

Yes they are fighting, because they're shite.

They don't have a 'fighting for survival' button on the back of each player, where they suddenly go ''Oh maybe we should play football a bit better now were at the end and we're at the fucking bottom''.

I really can't remember when City were last given a game, a test.

A least one team give them a game. It's embarrassing.

Just watched Brentford give Leeds a game who are going for automatic. Cardiff gave us a game. City just seem to have easy games.

There is far too much cowardice in this league. Teams look at Abu Dhabi and give up before they even get onto the pitch. We've seen it all before though. When Liverpool were in our pomp, so many teams came to Anfield already beaten. They just wanted to get in and out without getting battered.

Personally, I don't really get that attitude. If you know your back is going to be against the wall, why crawl off and die? Why not at least go down fighting? Have a fucking go! You never know, you could just catch them in complacent mood and get a result. If you lose, so what, you expected to anyway.

Show some guts for god's sake. Have a go.

Not sure why most are dismissing United’s chances. Yes, we all know how limited they are, but at Old Trafford and with a fire lit under their asses by that humiliation at Goodison - anything can happen. City are heavy legged and they struggled to create chances at home against half dead Tottenham. Not sure they have the intensity required to either blast United quickly or take a lead and coast for the majority of the game.

It will be very hard for them, of this I’m certain.

A least one team give them a game. It's embarrassing.

Just watched Brentford give Leeds a game who are going for automatic. Cardiff gave us a game. City just seem to have easy games.

Cardiff actually didn't - we should have been 3 up at half time.

However the following teams all gave us a game and were beaten by City either before the game or within 5 minutes this season:

Everton
Chelsea
Fulham
Southampton

Hoping I don't add United to that list but it's possible.

The problem as I see it is that Burnley and Brighton won't cause City problems offensively. Trying to sit back and use set pieces doesn't work any more against the top sides. It used to when you visited places like Villa, Stoke, Blackburn, West Brom that were well coached to put defences under real pressure from set play but the top sides have improved their defences massively and the newly promoted clubs over the last few years have more often than not tried to play football, only they haven't got anywhere near the quality to be able to do so. Burnley and Brighton wont cause any sort of relentless havoc to City's backline which is the only way to score past them. That or a magic bit of play which only the top quality teams can do (Us, Spurs, possibly Chelsea)

United and Leicester have more players that can cause this pressure up front but then you worry defensively for both of them.

First and foremost you need the atmosphere to motivate the players - if Old Trafford was bouncing at kick off like it was vs us then United would have a really good chance of a draw at least IMO.

The thing is that on form City should beat United comfortably. However, no two football games are ever the same. We were nowhere near our best in the two derby games this season and we fortunate to win one of them. United might not play like they did at Everton. We just don't know.

City have been getting goals very early in games and then just throttling the life out of them. They did that the other day against Spurs, but Spurs did have chances to score they just didn't take them. So, what you need is a team who is capable of scoring and also holding them off in the first 30 mins. It will be an interesting game because United need a reaction and the press hasn't helped them last few days. I suspect the game will be a lot closer than we think. I'm not suggesting United will beat them or even draw just saying it will be a closely fought game IMO. Also, there is no doubt City are under a lot of pressure because we keep winning. Their margin for error is zero. Pressure can do weird things to you. At 0-0 yesterday we were all starting to get itchy whether we get through it or not. Then we score, and they miss an open goal from a corner. Football can be all about fine margins sometimes.

The mancs, red version, don't have a leg to stand on.

1995, club legend comes to town. We beat him, nearly cost Blackburn the league.

Fast forward all of 12 months. 1996, another club legend comes to town. It's April, the games are running out. Collymore closing in. We break Newcastle, they're never the same again. The mancs go on to win the league and we give them a helping hand winning the double.

All the c*nts can point to is when Gerrard messed up in a Chelsea game and gifted them a goal. All I can say is, can you fucking narrow it down a bit? Clearly Gerrard is a massive blue who can't stand the thought of a team in red winning the league.

Seriously though. I can't see any real man utd fans wanting them to lose on Wednesday. It's mostly internet frauds living thousands of miles away.

The equivalent would be for us wanting Everton to beat us at Anfield, at fucking Anfield. Not only wanting Everton to beat us at Anfield, but also hope that the win would help them win the league and fuck us out of a champions league place. Can you fucking imagine it? No neither can I.

If we ever find ourselves in a position like that, I'd hope we'd all band together, bulldoze Anfield, cement over it, and give whatever silverware we have in our trophy room to Everton.
