Are you enjoying it?

has gone odd:
Jota's hattrick at Atalanta, Salah, beating the mancs at the toilet, Alisson's goal and the generally fantastic finish to 3rd are just about all I can salvage from the season. Was really difficult for our manager and players for a bunch of reasons, glad its over.

Funny how the journey, not the outcome,  affects the level of satisfaction.

I feel quite pleased - elated even! - of where we are. 3rd place, looking forward to next season.
(The Man Utd comedy finale just added to the fun).

An alternative path to the same outcome , say: If we had led the league till April then suffered a collapse over the last month or so to drop to 3rd place, would have been cause for widespread discontent.
Similarly, the Mancs not even getting to the EL Final but losing out much earlier should be an objectively better outcome for us , as bonafide haters, but no, getting to the final and losing to minnows from Spain on pens is a much happier place.

Fitzy.:
Odd reaction to yesterday's result from a gaggle of reds.

Some not happy about our penalty...like that should really matter.

Some complaining about the midfield.

Some annoyed about the defensive issues.

Possibly all fair enough, but it's a tad glass half empty, isn't it? Of course offer critique and observations, but the constant barrage of negativity from some is a strange one given the healthy state of the season. Even more incredible given how badly we have been hit by covid, injuries and Afcon. Winning on Thursday in London and doing it again 3 days later is so impressive given the context.

Are you enjoying it? Maybe you are. Some seem to not be...

Enduring at the moment is possibly the best description but certainly enjoying the position we find ourselves in after the gremlins were predicting a dire January.

It'll be good to see some reinforcements coming in, just in time methinks.

We may even see Divock before the season ends.
