Not sure why he's trying to set others up, they'll only let you down mate.

Very Firmino last few games, he should have a pop though.

Left wing and false nine - they are his position imo.

Looked good today. Needs a goal for confidence. A team is going to hiding soon. Hopefully Everton 😁

The team as a whole struggled to get shots off before they got outnumbered and lost the ball, I think criticising him for not shooting more when no one was creating anything for him is harsh.

Another good game. One of the few who were good in first half as well.

He has a crazy way of drawing fouls.

Doing very well of late, could do with one to go in for him.
I don't agree, he'd go to Legoland. Bye.

Another very good performance from him. Very good already in the first half and kept it up throughout.

His ball carrying has been back on point over the last four games, draws a lot of players to him and wins an awful lot of fouls.

One thing I really like is how he keeps trying even when his team mates look lost.

We seem to struggle mentally recently and it's easy to get passive when you see team mates struggling, but Gakpo is always trying.

Yep Gakpo, Jota and Salah to start against the bitters for me, Diaz and Nunez are strong options to change the game from the bench.

I've ben very critical of him but the last few matches when all our attacking force is down hes been the best.

Credit to him!

Love this turnaround from Gakpo. Has been excellent really, and nice to see him continue his form when others around him are also playing well.

The lad had to spend weeks surrounded by makeshift lineups and kids, mostly playing out of position too, and there was a massive rush to call him shite in the wake of it when he was actually making the best of a really shocking situation and helped us through it massively.

Nice to see him now getting a run of games from the start with first team talent around him. Low and behold he looks much much better for it. Who'd have guessed?!

That shot he had that their keeper did really well to tip over was a very sweet strike of the ball. Was heading in and would’ve been an absolute beauty. He’s looking strong, I’d play him against the BS no question at all.

He was MOTM for me. I start him through the middle on Wedmesday while Diaz will terrorize Young on the left and Mo on the right. Nunez and Jota to change the game when needed second half.

Much improved today, who’d have thought he’d look better on the left? Crazy isn’t it.

Still, he spurned a couple of good moments with suspect decisions in transition which is becoming a bit of a hallmark for him. Deserved the assist and overall his performance was good, he really stepped up and took responsibility, which is something a lot of people have (wrongly, imo) accused him of not doing.

Seen plenty say he should be sold but that was never an option for me.

All he needed was a beard. I like dark Cody.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

Played well. He should stay on the left. Amorim will probably be good for him given how he sets up his wingers.

Happy with this turnaround in his performance honestly. He seems like a decent lad who was being asked to play out of position. Hope he keeps getting games in this position.

He is so much more effective from the left. Hopefully he gets a run of games there as Diaz is more effective from the right judging by the Fulham match.
