Think it was ian st john who once said of a game against inter milan, 'we werent allowed to get a result,' that was the case today, if ever there were a candidate for a fixed match, this was it.

Did well though, no complaints about the performance, think we lost in 84 to a bent decision as well.

If anyone slags Liverpool off for that display then they can fuckoff!

Nothing was going our way today with decisions and luck.

The lads played excellently today and only one silly mistake cost us the game.

They never even played in the 2nd Half.

Shocking decisions towards the end but heads up they and we can be proud.

proud of the lads, did everything right and even scored three times although only one was offside, one was close and one was a specsaver moment.

Now let's continue the run in the prem and put this day behind us.

Before the Rafa bashers start, just remember who won us the trophy that enabled us to go there. The lads can take a lot from today and at least this defeat has not cost us three points.

In summary, we didn't deserve to lose.

Rafa got it wrong.
We should have started with Cisse.
No pace upfront, against a team that conceded two against the arabs, who exposed their lack of pace.

Rafa can be frustrating.

But what pissed me off more than anything was we were beaten by an average team.

Would have been nice to be the official World Champions, but how many teams are ever going to win a match after three disallowed goals.

Linesman was a twat.

Rafa got it wrong with the subs. Should have put Crouch and Cisse on after 65 or 70 minutes.

Lads played well, 3rd goal was on side.

No use complaining about the refs: sure Pongo's goal should have been allowed, but by that stage we should have been 5 to the good. Very wasteful finishing.

Very hard pill to swallow as we battered them from start to finish.

How Sinama-Pongolle's goal was not allowed i'll never know - Disgraceful decision.

Still proud of the effort of our boys and hopefully we'll bounce back on Boxing day.

3 dissalowed goals, a hat full of chances, crouch too late (when he came on they looked scared of him) a match were the better team deffinatley lost.

shame would have looked nice on the mantle piece....

Quit second guessing..

We had chance after chance..so why change? Just because someone sits at home and thinks it should be done..

The same strikers and midfielders had scored before..but it wasn't our day.

Well done lads!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to Sao Paolo..they did what they had to do after going the goal up.

Strikers are still as shite as ever. Seriously, Mori has to go. 1 one striker formation isn't for mori.

Amazing how some automatically single out an individual with a team effort like we produced in that 2nd half. Have you forgotten the two goals he scored in the prem just last week?

Proud of the boys who couldnt have tried harder. I've never seen such a negative Brazilian team who had no interest in attacking in the 2nd half.  :no

Nevermind, Im not going to loose any sleep over this result. We are still playing well and should have no probs adjusting when we get back.

Well done lads  ;D

Got to take the positives from the game. Played bloody well, had chances, yeah we lost the game and out clean sheet record but i'd have swapped a win today for a victory over newcastle on boxing day. We didnt win but we did ourselves proud.

better lose this game than against the barcode. This result might make Rafa realised that we can't play with  only 1 striker upfront.
