i've heard some less than complimentary things about the halo 3 beta, getting slated by some journalists but they seem to be mainly PC journos so expect more from their FPS than console people

Can you transfer mp3 files, etc via DVD or does it have to be via some kind of USB device?

You cant transfer files,. what you can do is rip music tracks from your cds onto the xbox hard drive or plug a usb device containing video/mp3 on it and you can play it only.

Never realised how much a different the HD cable you get with the premium system makes on a HD tv.  Went round my mates yesterday (hes got a core system) and the improvement was amazing!

Really need a HD tv.

Great demo init!! Only problem i have with it is when you use the "3rd person" cam. the handling seems a bit off! Feels like the car is turning from the middle, if yea get what I'm saying. But seeing as I use the cockpit view it's not a problem for me...I love them Buggies...

Was just wondering, is it possible to un-flash your 360? I bought mine off my mate already flashed and it came with a cd with "the original firmware" or something like that. I didnt really pay attention when i got it so dont know but i digress.

Can it be done?

Why do ya wanna unflash it..If it's to do with being banned off of LIVE, if you've been banned it won't matter if you unflash it you'll still be banned. But if your console hasn't be benned yet, as far as i know, ya you can get it iunflashed..

if the console has never been connected to Xbox Live it might be worth flashing it back to the original firmware, if it has then forget about it, no point its banned or on the list to be banned.

Brian Lara Cricket -

Does anyone know if there is a way you can edit the names of the players so that they are correct and not Adam Gilchurch and Brett Leap?   ::) Petty, I know, but it pisses me off that they release the demo with all the real names (making you think they have the rights) and then the real thing has these dodgy names.

It's not bad - batting, bowling and the stadiums are quite good, but fielding and the wicket keepers are crap.

Dont re-flash your drive mate, not even with the original firmware as it look like Microsoft are looking for changes to the firmware since the last update. Best to leave it alone.

I meant the winter (fall) update. Best bet is to just stick it on live and take a risk. If you restore your original firmware then the chances are it will be detected and you will get a ban. I have flashed a few new xbox 360's recently out of the box from the shop and are working fine once the spring update is installed.

Yep,. it either they take a Firmware Dump on the fall update, then the spring update came along and made another firmware dump and hash checked it. If you made any changes to the firmware between then,. you got banned.

The other theory is that the console logs when it is powered up and no drive is connected. But I think the firmware check one is the most valid, or both!

i also only ever powered up the drive using the xecuter connectivity kit

This is probably old news

http://www.xboxliveaddicts.co.uk/forums//index.php?showtopic=17714

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will no longer be a PS3 Exclusive .... It's been confirmed that it will hit the 360 also in 2008

There is no exact release date set at this point but November of 2008 has been mentioned by Konami.

This is not set in stone as Konami is because working with Microsoft to bring the date forward as much as possible. MGS4 for the 360 will also come with exclusive content and gameplay that will be lacking from it's PS3 counterpart.

Some of them are VR missions as well as Snake Tales or Snake in the Valley, (depending on where you live) which will let you go on objective based missions, some of which are very lengthy. These are the first two bonuses to emerge so far but be ready to expect even more.

Konami is also in talks with Nintendo to bring a MGS game to the Wii. MGS4 would obviously have to be slimmed down to work on the Wii.

My ass cheeks clapped together louder than an excited Latino man with maracas... I had just laid the mightiest fudge dragon ever known to mankind in its very own water bath.

Looking at games now there are none which I have to have and I am a little dissapointed.

OK, GTA IV and Pro Evo 7 will be must haves but they are miles off.  I am not into the Rainbow Six games (too much tactics) so not sure where to head to.

Was even considering Tomb Raider Legends, but that is not what I bought a 360 for.  Where are the decent shoot em ups.

Sorry I do have Gears and Call of Duty. (as well as PGR3, Dead Rising, Burnout and Pro Evo). Might have to download Colin McCrae tonight though seeing as everyone things it is quality.

Other than GTA IV... no massive games are entering my head except possibly Forza, Assasins Creed and Halo 3.

i know what you mean fella, it felt on the ps2 that there was a boss game coming out every couple of weeks in its heyday - the 360 has been quiet in the last few months.

Ya It's pretty slow at the moment, but there are some great looking titles that are coming out over the next year..There's..........
Kane and Lynch - 28/09/2007
Call of Duty 4 -
Blue Dragon - 28/09/2007
Transformers The Game - 20/07/2007
Alan Wake

I'm sure there's plenty more but Those are a few of the games I'm looking forward too anyway, apart from Halo and GTA...I'd love them to make another Red Dead Revolver Game. Fucking loved that on the ps2!!

Hey there fellow 360ers, just got mine about a month ago, just getting stuck into Tiger Woods & Ghost Recon, Have Gears of War & Pro Evo too.  Just need a good driving game can anyone give me some suggestions.  I've read through most of the threads but it seems only Project GOtham or Ridge Racer are mentioned, also heard a mention of COlin Mcrae as well.

So which one to go for? Cheers in advance
