Kim Kallstrom will bet the best midfielder in the World Cup

just watch

Really?! Better than Gerrard, Ronaldhino, Kaka, Alonso, Xavi, or even Lampard?!

OR, do you mean the women's world cup? I mean KIM Kallstrom does sound like a woman  ;)

He's been touted as the next big thing for a couple of years now, and it hasnt taken off for him. Moved to German football and didnt pull up any trees either. Cant see him being a big player at the WC to be honest.  We were linked with him before he moved to Germany, but nothing came of it. Cant see it coming off now.

Rafa should buy Kallstrom from Renes in the summer when Didi retires. Sissoko and Xbi being our defensive player Kallstrom and Stevie as our Offence.

how does he compare to Davis at Villa? That lad looks top class and Villa must be sh!tting themselves that the Mancs will realise how well he could replace Roy Keane.

If we had cash to spare and a vacant midfield berth, Davis would get my vote!

I got in contact wih my cousin in copenhagen i asked him about Agger and he said that if we get him he will bench Sami, i told him it isnt possible he said he is one of the best defenders in europe and he has prefromed in all of his games until he got injured.

your cousin is slightly delusional.

He is not a better player than sami just yet.

He'll fit in well though. he's young and thus makes a very nice backup/alternative tot he strongest centreback pairing in the league, allowing him to gradually transit into the firstteam as a regular as sami gets older.

If we are going to spend upwards of 6million on a centre half, which is the fee touted about for Agger, then id prefer it if we spent it on a more experienced centre half. That position is about experience and judgement more than anything else, and we dont want to go down the same road that Real Madrid have- spending millions on the next big thing, ie Sergio Ramos, only for him to make so many mistakes and cost them a lot of matches.

An older head for me please. As for Stephen Davis, if he's available then he'd be a fantastic signing. Looks the business and still only 20

The fee for Agger is likely to be between £4-5m. Ramos is a right back playing in the centre, who has being playing next to Helguera, who is essentially a CM, not defender. Is it any wonder why they are leaking goals at the back

Ramos is also naturally a right back, and has been played out of position most of the season, as has Helguera

Daniel Agger is the biggest defensive talent I have ever seen play in the Danish league, simple as that.

If he gets the right chances and proper guidance he will almost certainly develop into a world class defender. He is that good.

He is pretty much the complete package of what you would want to have in a defender. He is big, strong and quite fast. He positions himself well and know how to tackle. Apart from that he is also a good passer and knows how to clear the ball intelligently without just hoofing it away. Good header with a knack of scoring goals. He plays with a routine that is unheard of for a 20 year old.

He's ahd a injury lay-off for three months now and is ready to come back. It's interesting to see how he handles that but I think he's up for it.

If you saw how he handled Rooney in the friendly then you have a good images of how he try to play every game: Full of confidence and don't give a shit who he is up against.

Sounds like the perfect replacement for Sami if you ask me.

Just been browsing at LFC.tv and BBC message boards (don't ask why  ::) ) and people on there are claiming we've signed him. The deal is 55 mio. danish kroner (5 mio. £).

Fuck knows is this is true

anyone know if Agger is a natural left footer? i think i remember reading this a couple of months back. if we sign Agger and given the players we have this could leave us with carra as the only natural right sided centre back.

but i could be wrong.

I don't think it makes a difference when it comes to central players, anyway. Sami is naturally right footed but prefers to play left of centre and is quite good on his left foot.

Liverpool are believed to have stepped up their interest in Brondby defender Daniel Agger.

The Reds have been tracking the Danish international for some time as they search for a new defender.

Rafa Benitez has made a new central defender his top priority during this month's transfer window and Agger is believed to be at the top of his wanted lost.

Agger came to Benitez's attention after his impressive performance for Denmark in the 4-1 win over England last August.

A number of other top clubs have been linked with the composed defender, but Liverpool are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring him to Anfield in the January transfer window.

Reports emanating from Denmark and England suggest Liverpool are ready to make a major offer for Agger.

Speculation has intensified that a deal could be in the offing as Brondby's share prices have rocketed in the last few days.

Come on Boys - get the deal done as Daniel is only going to get better and atract more interest. Guys like him don't grow on trees.

Thought this thread was about Agger, but Garcia is our most two footed player we have got, on the other side, I really hope no one is more one footed than Riise :(

Rafa closes on Danish star
10:55am 3rd January 2006

Liverpool are on the verge of another significant transfer breakthrough after agreeing a £5.5million fee for Denmark centre back Daniel Agger.
Rated his country's outstanding talent, Agger is expected to complete his move to Anfield when Brondby's chief executive returns to his desk later this week.

It is Liverpool's second raid on the transfer market in quick succession, following the swap deal that will take Villarreal's Holland defender Jan Kromkamp to Merseyside in exchange for Josemi.

But while Kromkamp is seen as cover for Steve Finnan at right back, Agger is being tipped to force his way into Rafa Benitez's starting line-up and forge a new partnership with Jamie Carragher.

Despite being linked with a number of central defenders since admitting he needed more cover at the back, Benitez has always viewed Agger as his top target as he bids to bring in reinforcements to sustain a challenge for the title.

Liverpool failed to equal their club record of 11 straight League wins, set in 1982, against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium with a 2-2 draw.
