just got a new pair of PC speakers

behold the logitech z-2300



I am impressed beyond measure. Those two small speakers are the loudest home speakers I have ever heard. How they packed that much power into such small speakers is beyond me. I can blow away the neighbours at half the volume.
Living as I do in a hall of residence, I haven't dared testing them at full power yet, though I am told they can play that without any problems, the subwoofer coming along as well.

So far, I am mightily impressed not just with the volume but the amazing clarity at such high volumes. the sub-woofer follows along like an obedient dog with the bass turned on full.

They are ace beyond measure, works great relaying movies as well (Lord of the Rings has never sounded better).

I'm like a kid in a candy store right now. ;D

You havent lived until you've played HL2 in 5.1

thought about going for 5.1 but my current accomodation means I can't really set it up properly.

These though.... Playing at maybe 1/3-1/4 of the volume, and it can be heard through closed doors 20 yards down in the kitchen. ;D

the next party here I am going to try them out at full volume. The walls will be shaking. :thumbup
