How about Met Office - The Meterological Office website, for weather  and climate data, shipping forecasts etc.

British Geological Study - The British Geological Society website

Walsall FC aka the red and white Saddlers. The innovators as well as the first sports team in England/UK, to sell the Chicken Balti Pie:

With a soft spot for the redmen of Liverpool since the League Cup Semi Final 1984. RIP to the 39 in Brussels and of course the 96.

The Straight Dope is pretty interesting. Basically explains or debunks scientific theories.

Very computer and console specific is Ars Technica. Pretty technical articles that you don't need a degree in engineering to understand.

Del.icio.us is a great place to find stuff that interests you, whatever you like.

Finally, the Kuro5hin technology and science sections have some good articles, too.

Given so many space sites get listed here I'll add http://www.universetoday.com/

They're an excellent site with regularly updated and topical content - e.g. lots of stuff on the recent shuttle launch. They did however manage to make me laugh out loud with this completely serious article in November:

Lots of space stuff been linked.  How about some... Evolution Baby?   ;D

TalkOrigins (the FAQ contains an excellent introduction to evolution)
Some of the works of Charles Darwin, in full.  Including The Origin Of Species, 6th edition.
Panda's Thumb (pro-evolution/anti-creationism blog)

Mixture of general science stuff:
ScienceBlogs
Seed Magazine

And back to outer space, a musical interlude:
The Galaxy Song

There are a few scientific podcasts I am enjoying.

Nature, and science weekly from the guardian are very good

I have just listened to my first Dr Karl one and that is good, though more suitable for those that are not massively into science, I found it a bit easy and weak, but then i knew a number of the topics they spoke about, but look forward to the ones on areas i am not used to.
Listened to my first science in action and liked that too

Also downloaded, but not yet listened to....

digital planet
science magazine
Cern
Naked scientist
naked scientist question of the week

the main articles of this usually get posted in The Guardian on Saturdays, but lots of other good bits and pieces on the site:

http://www.badscience.net/

And would recommend his book, also called Bad Science, which covers some interesting science topics which the media have managed to screw up over the past few years:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bad-Science-Ben-Goldacre/dp/000728487X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1241283632&sr=8-1

A very interesting website with a few great podcasts:

http://www.howstuffworks.com

The podcasts are here:
http://www.howstuffworks.com/hsw-podcast.htm

I've only listened to the Stuff You Should Know and Stuff You Missed in History Class podcasts: they're both great; don't know about the others.

In the multimedia vein, TED talks are great, too. You can download them as MP3 or subscribe to the videos.

http://www.ted.com/talks

There are some real gems in there, such as
The Real Difference Between Liberals and Conservatives,
Why People Believe Strange Things,
and any of Robert Full's insect-based robot videos.

1st one is a website by a guy who went looking for a reference site for authors who wanted to write science fiction and get their facts straight, couldn't find one and so made his own. 2nd one is his blog where he posts articles on the same theme.

For anyone that is on facebook this is a pretty awesome page to like.  It does include a lot of science joke memes (which most are pretty funny) but it also uploads a heap of interesting articles and updates in science.
