The Mighty Boosh
« on: August 9, 2005, 11:24:38 PM »
Anyone seen this? It's on BBC3 now.

Caught some of it last night and I just can't get my head around it, some of it is good, some is bad, but I get the feeling it'd go down well with the munchies and the giggles...
You sure you want to do this?

I hope you like the taste of bleu cheese.

Watched it tonight and thought it was quite good...

Houses smell of mushy peas, cat piss, dope and (in the more extreme cases in West Yorks) ammunition.  Wives look like scarred pitbull terriers.  Children are feral, resembling hungry monkeys.  Bloke wears vests a lot.  Tracksuit bottoms.  Slippers.  Few tattoos.  Wishes he'd joined the army, pretends he was a Para.  Spends too much time wanking...

Yeah, this is right up my street. Very random!

Missed it tonight. Are these the new ones?
Johnny Sack: 200 grand for insulting my wife. What's next, Carmine, he gets to fuck her for a million?

Carmine: He wants to fuck her?

Johnny Sack: I'm making a point.

Other than the munchies and giggles comment does it bear any resemblance to Monkey?

I was going to say why is it always you who discovers these random programmes, but I don't think I really need an answer  :wave

That is actually exactly what I thought when I saw it first time - but the destruction of the Betamax monster - by pressing rewind on a remote control that came out of a door on one blokes forhead - was indeed a sight to behold.

The granny monster from last night really shouldn't have been as funny as it was - maybe that says a lot about my sense of humour? ;D

Julian: "Are you aware of the music known as jazz?"
Noel: "Jazz, what's that, 1984, Matt Bianco (sings badly) What is lo-o-o-ove anywa-a-a-y, does anybody love anybody anyway?"
Julian: "No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft."

"My other Uncle, Boris, was into cryogenics....all my uncles are called Boris - strange"

Julian:"I span the genres, they call me the genre spanner."
Noel:"They call you the spanner"

"Last time you gave me a pie, I cut into it, and birds flew out of it, hitting me in the face and chin. I was confused. It was a trick pie".

Noel:"I've made a start on Mrs. Gideon's parcel"
Julian:"Have you?....well break out the trumpets"

One of them, I do believe he may have been the one on the right, came on stage inbetween the support bands at the Razorlight gig at Alexandra Palce in London.

He was dressed in black...had a strange mask/nose....with a fake crow on his arm.

Laugh? I nearly cried.

He was getting hellish abuse from the twatty people down ther front, took them on in superb fashion.

"I am going to rape your eyes" he said to one kid. Who then shut up.

;D

Saw the 'Nanageddon' episode - deliciously random. Loved the exchanges between Saboo and Tony Harrison (the weird octopus-head thing) round the table of the Board of Shamen,

"What are you, some sort of kit? Am I going to have to assemble this Kinder Egg?"

Right I definately need to remember that, seen clips of it when they've appeared on Soccer Am and from what i've read on here, looks quality.

Oh and the 2nd series is out on DVD 13th Feb.

Arse. Too late for me :(

I love the program. Think its got so much potential if you are prepared to give it a chance. The comedy is not as obvious and predictable as something like Little Britain, but its a hugely rewarding show once you get into it.

Looks like Monkey Dust is back on 3 soon as well. 8)

The live show at the Royal Court on Sunday night was superb. We were unsure as to exactly what we'd get, a bit of stand-up?  It turned out that the show was pretty much "as seen on tv" with stage sets, scene changes, the works.

I did feel rather like a teacher at a sixth form conference sat in that audience though...

Unbelievable programme

Love it due to its randomness.

Plus the green goblin with a polo thing around his eye and a massive thumb was genius ha
