TIME TO TURN FULL CIRCLE??
« on: July 1, 2005, 03:29:35 PM »
RE: Everton (AKA the blueshite): What are peoples thoughts on their European endeavours next season? Will we put premiershup rivalries aside and return full circle to the days when a red and a blue were equally supportive of one another or has recent spates between a minority of fans ingrained an unbridgeable divide?

Would we would support them in a European Final; would we turn out for an Evertonian homecoming?

Finally, what are peoples thoughts on a more united Merseyside - would you support the toffees over the mancs?  ???

No chance.

United are annoying - like a fly buzzing round your head on a summer's afternoon. You know that sooner of later it will disappear from whence it came.

With Everton, it is much, much deeper......

Their arse has gone anyway. Let go three defenders on a free today.

Erm ... would I support Everton over the Mancs? Is the pope a free-thinking radical atheist? Next question.

Fuck that, I'd support Everton's opponents if it was a tiddlywinks competition.

In the recent years when we've been competing for the top 4, and especially in 2002 when we finished above United, I always wanted Everton to beat Man Utd.  I can't stand either club but if there is a certain result that benefitted us, I'd want it.

Last season as we were competiting more with the blue shite, I wanted United to beat them.  Simple

And if they were playing each other and it had nothing to do with us, I'd want them both to lose with several red cards, broken bones and inquiries by the FA!

In the corridors and changing rooms of Anfield I met many people - the great, the talented, the legendary.  I know that I only met one genius.  He was a small, smiling man with a neatly clipped beard.  His name was Rafael Benitez.
