Here's a formation to try.

3CB's
1DM
2AM
2WF (Push them as far wide and as far forward as you can)
1SS+1CF or 2CF (Depending on which team you play as)

As long as you know how to defend and tackle well, you don't need full-backs, just chase an attacking winger with your DM, leaving your 3 CB's intact in the middle to deal with any danger, and on the counter attack, this formation's a killer. You'll see when the wing forwards are in acres of space when you win possession.

I've been playing for years Since International Superstar Soccer on Nintendo. And every Pro Evolution version that succeeded it.

I'm a fuckin addict to be honest.  ;D

Got this on Xbox.  Cisse is fantastic for me but I can't seem to find the right strike partner for him.  Who do you normally pair with him?

Liverpool are useless on PS2, especially Cisse.

Can't string 2 passes together, Alonso and Riise especially. Hopefully it'll be a more realistic Liverpool on PE6.

I usually use Inter if i'm playing anyone any good.

I'm sure they'll take extra care this year round, i think they might of acuired the licenses (kits, names, etc). The default stats for liverpool are good for some of the players but for the majority you need to change them. Finnan and alonso for example

They've got licenses for England, Holland, Italy and Argentina on Winning Eleven 10, it's out the end of this month so i'll play that till october when Pro Evo 6 comes out.

I doubt they'll have licenses for the Premiership yet except Chelsea and the Arse.

Shame Pesfan can't do Option files anymore, but in time, someone will update all the kits on pesinsight.com.

Ye what was that all about, Copyright infringement or something? Good job i was able to download their first couple of releases before they stopped doing it.

Aren't the licenses different when it comes to the 2 games. I thought they focus on the J league teams as well as the National Team modes.. which has no bearing on the premiership. Ignore me

Yeah it was copyright infringement that pissed on all our chips. Pesfan was threatened with legal action and had to pull the files.

I always get Winning Eleven before the new Pro Evo comes out and theres never been J-League teams on it.

It's usually tweaked a bit for the Pro Evo version. Gameplay i mean, aswell as updated transfers.

And of course they get rid of the Nippon challenge.

Even the Japanese don't like their own leagues? I always hear about ball physics and speed changes being made for the japanese market

National teams yes. As for the club it will probably be 1-4 teams from each country that have their kits done (which is basically what they did for PES5). Only a matter of weeks now that we get all the answers.

Do balls travel differently in Japan?
Perhaps Scotty was wrong when proclaiming 'Ye canna change the laws of physics' , all he had to do was move to Japan?

Had an epic torunament yesterday with a couple of my mates,

Me and my mate in the final he was AC and i was Liverpool, 6 mins in he crossed to the edge of the box and gillardinho socred an amazing overhead kick, for the remaing game i hit the post 5 times including both posts in one shot and ended up losing one nil.

think it was cos he was in red and i was in that horrible yellow.

i live to fight again and role on the next torunament

haha i'm telling you they make weird changes. The ball doesn't bounce as much and all that... i'm only passing on from peoples experiences from playing the two games. The tempo of the game is increased i think as well to make gameplay more enjoyable

I play this with a mate and we've won the league something like 18 seasons on the bounce, to turn those 0-0s into victories you need to acquire top quality strikeres and Attacking Midfielders young and train them, get the old star players in as well, lots of them are a class above, Gullit, Maradona, Cunaim (Cryuff), Zico etc we tend to play a 3-5-2 system with 2 defensive midfielders (Sneijder and Muntari at the mo) and 2 wingers (Duff and Nihat) and 1 AM (either Ronaldinho or Aimar), this system has been consistently succesful for us although i'm not sure how good it would be in Single Player mode.

I play a 4-5-1 system with Liverpool in level 6 in the master league, picked up the treble last season.
team is:
                                  Reina
Finnan   Carragher            Milito        Riise

                           Gerrard       Sissoko
            Simao

                                                         Downing

     Robinho
                              Torres

seems to work very well.

Cheat! You can't use real players!! The real challenge is to play with un-named players. Finished the game recently with every tournament won on level 6.

                                            Xabi

Basta (Yugoslav FB, very good)                                                        Riise

                                        Francescoli

I play 3-1-2-4
                                                Reina

                                 Carra      Kohler       Lahm

                                            Ronald Koeman

                                 Gerrard               Alan Ball

     Joe Cole                                                                   Conti

                                    Pele          Maradona

Bench: -
Socrates
Martins
Litterbarski
Robinho
Alonso

In about season 10 now and haven't lost a game for the past 4 seasons.  Play on Level 6.  Always good to play mates though because it is so much harder!!!

I like the post earlier about using the original team (of nobodies!).  Might give that a whirl when I get borad!

Only way to do it is just switch the positions of people in the box with the defenders you want (just before the corner that is). Annoying i know but i dont think theres another way

I was playing against the computer before and they had a corner and the keeper was up for the corner. But they couldnt have switched positions cause he was in his kit and everything, and soon as the corner was finished he ran back to goal.

Anyone know how to do this?
