SG on the bench?

Probably 2 games in 5 days is a bit too much for him after the groin injury and not worth risking. Hopefully we'll be ok and wont have to really use him. It'll hopefully allow Alonso a bit more lisence to roam with igor just sitting.
It's wonderful, it's marvellous, it's 3-3

Good team IMO

If we get into a bit of trouble just stick Stevie and Cisse on
So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

I guess we'll be playing the same formation as we did against spurs then? With a few exceptions. :-\

Good team. I like that Rafa goes with two strikers away from home. Besides, finally our bench doesn't look too bad either, i.e. Rafa has actually a choice to influence the game.

Stevie's got a ropey groin though - they're just protecting it apparently.

I think Gerrard needs a rest. After all he is just back from injury.

So is Alonso...

But if I had a choice on who I'd rather have in the match, Alonso would definitely be my pick...

I disagree. I think it'll be the other way round with Xabi sitting and doing what he does best whilst Igor roams around a bit and gets forward. I think Igor's better at that anyway to be honest.

Looks a good team to me. I'd rather Gerrard to be playing, but that's alright. At least it's only one player that is being rested tonight. 0-2 win hopefully. Come on!

Again Rafa utilising the rotation system...but we really have to win this game :-\ We'll see...

One unfortunate consequence, however, is that it will kickstart more irritating media speculation about his future :no

If he's too tired then he wouldn't start. I don't think Rafa plays players who aren't fit enough. If he's not as fit as he could be, then it may not be too bad. He'll probably be rested v Palace.

It'll be interesting to see if Igor or Xabi plays the more attacking role tonight. I don't think we've really seen Xabi there yet as Steveie always gets the role leaving Xabi playing deeper.

Err he's had no choice half the season, as we've had to play injured players loads of times.

We haven't seen Xabi there because that isn't where he plays. He sits deep and controls the game from there, and will do again tonight. Which is good news for Biscan as he should do better with more freedom to get forward.

It really depends how Morri and Baros work out.

Sometimes they play so appalling, sometimes it clicks.

If they get a goal, we shud be able to defend it and hit on the attack. We have the players good enuff to hold a lead.

But if they get a goal, we always struggle to break teams down. We lacked a creative players, like Robben or a Giggs. Hopefully though Alonso will be able to change things..........he's looked amazin on his return.
