It's either jubilation or melancholy at the end of today, lads.  :)

Interesting. Does Hyypia have an injury niggle or is it tactical? I guess nobody knows..

I guess we can expect just a little bit of controversy. Hope we don't have something to complain about again at the end of the day.

My initial impression, and I'm sure of many others, is that he has to be injured. If it's tactical, then it surely is very interesting.

Can see Mori dropping back to an advanced midfield position with Gerrard holding the middle of the pitch. He's only up against Yobo so will dominate the game

I hope Bent is not their forward. I think his speed will cause more problems for Pellegrino and Carragher than Beattie would.

Arteta is out, I don't know whether that is good or bad. He is still adjusting to the pace of the game, whilst Yobo will be there as a destroyer, which is exactly what is on Everton's agenda.

Our midfield could indeed struggle.

I would have preferred to go 4-5-1 in honesty, but another chance to prove that Baros and Morientes can link up.

Surprised as everyone by Pelle's inclusion ahead of Hyypia but he's there on merit, he's performed excellently there so far and I have confidence in him and Rafa's decision.

Now lets twat 'em.

Pellegrino is still criticised for the performance at Soton. Shame that considering his last 3 games have been very good. Just a shame people wont forget that

Not so sure about Bent against Pellegrino, but we shall find out. They have two people there in the midfield with the sole purpose of destroying.

Must admit to being very surprised that we are playing 2 upfront,
thought we would defo go with 1 up and 5 in midfield to combat evertons 5 in midfield
but it signals our intentions that we are going to take the game to them.
Personally i am pleased that Pellegrino plays as he is slightly quicker IMO than Hyypia,
he played well on weds and deserves a run.

Come on the mighty L'pool, lets twat these horrible, shitty, bitter blue nosed fucks

If Pellegrino continues his personal hoofing game, Stubbs, Weir and Yobo will just gobble them up. We need Gerrard and Hamann playing good games, else I suspect we could even find ourselves on the backfoot for long periods.

I was critical of Pelle after the Saints game and rightly so. However I have also praised him after his recent good performances. As for his hoofs I agree with Gracias, he made a few good long passes but our forwards generally did nothing with them.
Also Stevie Warnocks long passing was great on Wednesday as well.

Pellegrino was excellent on Weds, bar his passing. But that's never been Sami's strong point either. We kept a clean sheet against a team who played like Everton do - so no arguments there, especially if Sami isn't feeling 100%.

Their line up looks more 'dogs of war', with a load of spoilers in midfield. I am worried by our two men up front, merely because I felt that matching Everton's system would mean the better players - i.e. ours - would determine the game.
