haven't seen a thing, but Sinama's injury sounds very bad...

hope not, i was halfway to putting him as my favorite player this season in the relevant thread, i just love how he's so eager to get the ball down and take players on, and hasn't complained about being sub, or playing right midfield...

lots of the things we want in a player, Flo...

my fingers are crossed that it looked worse than it really is, and let's beat, well...

either of the other two in the Final...

Really started to look the part and his fitness is up. I thought he looked better as the game went on.

Solid performance from Pelle as well ... definite improvement, and getting used to the English game.

MoM is a tough call. Finnan in the first half probably, but I would give it to the team overall.

Job done - we could have done without another long-term injury though especially as Pongolle has been looking dangerous lately.

Perhaps making a final will be the turning point for rest of the season - oh no, I'm sounding like Houllier $:-\$

Will do wonders for the confidence, and stand us in good stead for the rest of the season.

Never seen a player ever win so many headers. Even when the crossing was dismal. Morientes practically managed to get all the balls that came anywhere near him. Even when it was too low, he managed a overhead kick... He's really trying his best to score... Shouldn't be too long now.

Good point on the away support. Nice one! Bet it was a bit cold and all.

To be fair we never went there to sparkle. It was about keeping the ball and keeping a clean sheet. Quietened Watford down nicely and never needed to get out of second gear.

Bit of a step up from Sat. Not vintage though by any means, but the result should get back a bit of confidence.

Better performances by Gerrard, Carra, Hamann, Morientes, Riise, etc. and good to have Finnan back, we eased through that in the end.

A side note, thought Biscan was poor tonight. Thought he could have done more tonight. Looked like a different player for a few weeks earlier in the season but Burnley and here, against lower opposition, didn't really get into the game. Another chance missed for him.

He done his job tonight. His distribution is poor at times, though. I don't see him here long term.

Great goal, but he was clearly carrying that groin injury (and thankfully no game this weekend). It's no wonder we're called a one-man team, as those viewing only see one player!

Pelle did much better, and having the excellent Carra alongside him - with his pace - helped him. Pelle and Sami look too similar.

Finnan was good on his return. Was happy with Igor, although every mistake he made the commentators leapt on.

Very happy with that performance.

Good work from the team. They fought and kept trying hard and that was what I wanted from them. Ok, winning was expected too. It sounded as if Milan had some trouble as a winger, but he was better in the second half. What a relief it was to have Finnan back, so that Carra could go back to CB. That worked out nicely with Pelle and Finnan had a great game. Nando is getting better every game.

Hopefully all the panic critics stop giving Rafa a hard time. Now only Flo has to be back real soon. It's just unreal that we lose a player every game.

Job done, thought Finnan was superb, Carra was solid and Moro is getting sharper. Gerrard took his goal brilliantly.

Pongolle's injury looks very bad, looks like a season-ender to me.

But anyway, we were always in control although it was a Championship side. Hamann, Biscan and Gerrard would always be a tough barrier for a Championship side, our defence was never overstretched too much.

I wouldn't mind either Chelsea or the Mancs, but here's to a day out in Cardiff.

Got irritated soon after the goal when Kamara said something like "You have to wonder where Liverpool would be without Gerrard".

Well, with been without him for 2 out of 5 months this season. And what about were would we be with Alonso, Cisse, Kirkland, Kewell, etc etc?!

Was guessing they would give it to him though. Excellent goal, but apart from that a quiet performance by his standards. I honestly can't say who I would have given it to though. It was a team performance more than anything. At half time I was thinking Finnan. So relieved to see him back, and he was all over the defence, but I think my MoM goes to the twelth man on balance

Thought everyone played decent today - nothing stunning in the main, just decent professional play. Didn't give them much room to do anything, whilst attempting to create some attacks.

Only downer for me was the injury

Hope it isn't as bad as it looked on initial viewing.
