It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Few surprises there, notably Diao and Warnock, but at least Riise is OK.

Rafa's doing a West Brom, good to see Raven on the bench!

Garcia and Mellor will be good up front too!

I like the look of that, with one obvious exception.

Biscan must be on his way out then, pity really.

Nice to see Raven on the bench though, he's class.

Diao, let's hope he has a decent game, important to bounce back from an undeserved home defeat , rest of the team looks decent though. Would be good to see Garcia get into the game more than he has away from home this year. I have a sneaking feeling he might be in line for a good match today (touch wood)
He's made Kaizer wet himself with excitement then cry when he realises all in one post. Ban him? Knight him in the new year's honours!

As always with the teamsheet, I wait and see how they perform. It's not the team I would have picked, but I'm confident the gaffer has his reasons and we'll see that reflected on the pitch rather than on a piece of paper with some names on.

Dudek

Finnan
Hyypia
Carragher
Warnock

Nunez
Gerrard
Diao
Riise

Garcia

Mellor

C'mon Redmen!!!
Balotelli, Falcao, Cavani...

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

Surely even Diao's competent enough to handle Norwich's central midfield  :-\

Don't mind Diao quite as much alongside Gerrard - it's when he was alongside Didi (such as Fulham) where we tended to lack creativity.

Norwich played 85 minutes in difficult conditions with just ten men at Pompey.

Nice to see Raven make it onto the bench.

Good to see David Raven on the bench - the lad is a class act and is the future of our defence alongside Carra and Zak.

Just had a game Vs Norwich on PES4, scrappy 0-0 with Diao and Finnan lucky not to go off. Mellor innefective and Stevie strangely subdued. Garcia and Nunez both with good games. Watch out for Garcias effort on 55 minutes!

After the smack Biscan got in the face, I'm surprised he still remembers he's a footballer.

Nice to see Stephen Warnock starting another game and David Raven on the bench today. But Salif Diao FFS  :no if he wants to rest Didi today and Igor is leaving why not give John Welsh a run out.

Why are we not playing Traore at left back? He was fantastic against Chelsea. I understand Didi's probably still not recovered from playing 48 hours ago, is that why were not playing Traore? Otherwise happy enough.

Mellor is due an away goal - hope he can notch today. Hopefully Nunez can stand a few crosses up for him, although Norwich are quite good in the air at the back.

We've got enough to win, and they're playing all ten players who played 85 minutes after the sending off at Pompey.

Huckerby is their dangerman - a bit head-down like Baros, but he has some pace about him.
