What happened to the "Let's twat..." threads?

They always seemed to work... Or did someone jinx them?

Anyway I reckon 2-0 to us today. Gerrard & Mellor.

Erm I think they're showing the Tottenham vs. Crystal Palace match (delayed) instead of ours. Its at 4 AM in the morning y'know, the Liverpool Southampton match. They're showing Tottenham vs. Crystal Palace and Manchester United vs. Aston Villa. I haven't watched a liverpool match since Everton  :'( And that wasn't pleasant.

Should do them by 3+ goals but I remember the crappy Sunderland a few yrs back getting a draw. Still, I will say 4/5-0 to us.

Will be tuning in to Steve Hunter on .tv. Can't bloody wait.

KO is 1630 GMT, Jqwerty, which if my maths is right puts it at 0030 (Wed morning) Singapore time, not 0400 as you suggest.

Oh yeah. Good, I shan't have to stay up too late then. Thanks!

and thus the dreadful error of ESPN thinking that people will prefer

01:00 AM-03:00 AM             EPL 2004/05: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Crystal Palace (Same day Telecast)

to Liverpool Vs. Southampton. Horrible.

Any comms available in the chat room?

Fuckers with that idiot Paul Masefield punditting for them. The only time we ever got a good pundit on ESPN was when Alan Hansen came out to Singapore and was giving his views,

Arse!

No Baros or Kewell, that is not great.  :(
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Mellor & Warnock starting.....Heighway must be wondering where all this talent is coming from an academy that was deemed inadequate by the previous manager.

Nice one

Too risky to chance it with Baros, given he felt his hamstring in the West Brom game. Let's hope the two young lads can do the trick up front, but I'd obviously prefer to see some experience up there. Kewell's absence compensated for by Riise's good form.

Will Rafa ever be able to field the team he would want?

In fairness, while both have done really well this season they are only featuring today due to injuries to Baros and Kewell.

However it is looked on its a nice sight plus Mellor would have started the game against W Brom if it was not for illness...no?

Its not a bad team. I'm amazed that Rafa didn't take the opportunity to rest players. Although the bench isn't very strong. No Baros. No Biscan. No Kewell. But Warnock has another start! Yay.

Soton leave Phillips on bench, and Beattie not in 16 despite travelling to Anfield.

However it is looked on its a nice sight plus Mellor would have started the game against W Brom if it was not for illness...no?

Possibly - although maybe Flo would have started as his pace is more handy away from home?

Not knocking the kids we've got, but also let's not forget GH gave games to Mellor, Otsemobor and Welsh.

Mellor, however, has been smashing at Anfield in the last month or two.

Everton drawing & so is Chelsea.

Defoe scored again so maybe Roman can waste another 15m plus on Jermaine as funnily enough Chelsea really dont have a world class striker after all their spending.....1st Divison proven anyway.

One minute's silence for the victims of the terrible earth quake. Fair enough, and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but what has it got to do with football? And will there be minute's silences at work places, concerts, etc?

Why is it only football that has these?

I am actually quite proud that football distinguishes itself from other sports and events in that way :-\
If A is a success in life, than A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.
