IMPORTANT TICKET ADVICE ON OUR CL TIE
« on: December 18, 2004, 09:50:48 PM »
Quote
Liverpool Football Club is waiting to receive confirmation on the ticket allocation for the away leg of the UEFA Champions League fixture against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
With the total capacity of the BayArena being 22,500 it is anticipated that our allocation will be approximately 1,100 tickets. Tickets will be strictly allocated to our supporters with priority being given on the number of away UEFA Champions League fixtures attended this Season 2004/05.

It is anticipated that demand for tickets will exceed the supply. Liverpool Football Club would like to remind supporters that it will not accept any responsibility for travel costs incurred by supporters whose application for a ticket is unsuccessful.

Liverpool Football Club will announce the ticket selling arrangements as soon as possible. Currently we are awaiting confirmation from Bayer 04 Leverkusen on the allocation and prices.

We've played 4 Euro aways this season, I think those who have been to 3 or 4 of them will be fine, probably those who have been to 2 of them as well.

lonsdale have priority, less tickets means more demand +2 planes= 5 to 600 tickets, not many left?

Crap isn't it.  The clubs ticketing and loyalty policy has without doubt improved greatly over the last couple of seasons, but this is still something that annoys me, but the club probably make more money from selling tickets to Lonsdales etc

I thought Lonsdales offered a guaranteed ticket with their packages?

No think it depends on the trip.... they did for the UEFA final 2001 - but not all games, I ALWAYS check their site before our trips just to compare prices and the last year or so they all say the club is to supply your ticket.

Seems quite a low allocation 1100, I thought it would be nearer 1500.

Fingers crossed then for the next few months!
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

That’s not a definite allocation figure Gus, I’m still hoping it will be a bit higher than that….

Last time it was 1650, and that was in a quarter final....

I could understand if they gave us a smaller allocation based on the fact that we were at a more advanced stage, but that is not the case. Only time will tell.

Thanks for the e-card by the way.  :wave

There will be a few sorting out their mates, I'm not sure how many people will have genuine spares that they are struggling to shift.

spartacus, this is what the TO told me, LONSDALE are the clubs travel agent, for all things travel with the club IE players, staff, and euro away trips, lonsdale pay liverpool a fee for this position, which they recoup through their packages. they are guaranteed tickets with their package if you are a st,etc member. the problems arise when lonsdales packages are fully taken up, which means less tickets for the independent supporter, thats why you are usually last to be informed if you have got a ticket. Barnes also guarantee tickets.

Some people could try to get tickets off this agency, they aren't that expensive (usually) but you would have to sit with the homefans! i will sit with the homefans as well!

It's an agency in Austria, they are able to get tickets for most fixtures so i think for this game as well! I got a ticket for the derby in Milan (CL semi-final) for 120 euros, not cheap but not that bad for this sort of game!

i think it's worth a try!

Leverkusen only have to provide 5% of the capacity - standard UEFA rules. We were fortunate they gave us more last time. Knowin gthe layout of the stadium I'd be surprised if we didn't get 1655.
If you're going to sign up on Betfair and fancy getting a free £25 on sign-up then use my refer code 749DCNQGK and I'll also get a £25 bonus ;)
