Good news and always plays well (or better) at Anfield  :)
If Kenny Dalglish had simply played football for Liverpool he would be an Anfield hero. However, the fact that he managed the club to even greater success guarantees him the status of a legend.

Fantastic news.  The little bugger is always looking for space to move into which I felt was something that we really missed against Portsmouth.

Does anyone know when Smicer is likely to be back?
Will he ever play for Liverpool anyway?

Hope he finishes with more accuracy if he gets the chances. I would be seriously livid if he fouls up another series of easy chances.

Good news, be good to see him now that Stevie is back in the team. IMO Luis suffered after his good start when we lost SG.

Players back from injury, transfer window about to re-open, Christmas beer to drink, the CL draw, wow it's almost too exciting  :D

Great news.

Now do we play the negative 4-5-1 (more suitable for tough away games) or the more positive 4-4-2 as I guess we are reaching that point of the season where we need to convert all these "chances" and by having two strikers on the pitch the conversion % increases

Hopefully we will see

i reckon he may get about 15 mins before the end, or maybe the last half hour. i doubt he'll start. i hope biscan figures- everyone has started talking about gerrards replacement- if biscan keeps on improving we won't need to look very far.

Biscan has improved a lot mate but I think to say he could even touch Gerrard's quality is a bit of an exageration in my opinion.

Diao's close though.  ;D

saying biscan can't touch gerrards impact... who can? the best thing would be to develop biscan, if that don't work we have to look at other options...

all this IF gerrard leaves of course- you never know, we may end up winning the title, champs league, FA cup and chelsea may be declared bankrupt.
well a fella can dream can't he  :D

Not sure bout Vladi's return, but if you look at what Rafas done with Igor and Djimi (turned them into realible players) then Smicer should be a much better player, thats the way it should work anyway  :D

Garcia does add a great deal to our style of play.

I have a suspision that Smicer will do well under Benitez, what with Rafa's short passing game. (on the whole)
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Has he ever.....  ;);D ;D

Methinks you write off Vlad too soon... Apart from anything else, and IF he gets a run of games, remember it'll be the first decent chunk of games where he's been on the pitch the same time as his Czech teammate Milan... And Rafa's style will suit him like a glove going forward (also he's a bit of a wuss in the tackle)

Vlad should be back somtime in January, but will probably need a few weeks in the ressies to get match fitness and sharpness back.

Can't see him in the first team squad, never mind starting 11 till mid Feb at the earliest.  Agree that while he's with us, he should provide something different to what we've seen of him in a red shirt.

Btw, isn't he in the last year of his contract...?
"I believed them fellas."
Thank you, Mr. Moores.

yes he is in the last year- he'll need to impress rafa in a very short space of time in order to get an extension.

IMO Smicer will probably do well when he gets back only to get injured again. IMO he is too lightweight for the Premiership and he'll go on a bosman in the summer.
