It's hard to choose between the two strikers at the moment.  I'm just as happy with either of them starting.

Wasn't there some suggestion he might be injured?

His goal was from a set piece and although it was beautifully taken, it's nice to see Baros getting a chance and it will keep Cisse on his toes.

Baros has got 2 goals in what? 150 minutes of football.

Probably picked Baros to do a lot of running down the channels

Yep Baros played the better of the  two and if we're playing with one up top he was the one who deserved to stay in.

It`s a long season...we have to rest players occasionly...Baros started on the bench against Monaco and the Mancs... now it`s Cisse`s turn in being rested... makes sense!

Yea even after that. Baros was better IMO. We were never going to have 2 out and out strikers away from home in the CL, so Baros would be my choice with Garcia.

Baros holds the ball better too which is important away from home.

Diao, Traore, Pongolle, Biscan

Personally would like to see both strikers start, but if we're only using one think Baros is due a go.

Agreed, the bench looks far better than it did at the weekend, still think we are 2 or 3 back up players short.
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

We got what we deserved - giving the ball away in our own half & continually giving stupid fouls away.

Strange to see Warnock and Finnan taking set pieces either side. Neither seem to have the same 'whip' that Alonso could provide. We've had 3 or 4 set pieces around their area and not caused any problems there.

if you're watching on Sky Digital go to system setup, set your picture ratio to 4:3, and you'll be sorted

Another one wasted :-\ Very odd given the creativity we've shown recently from free kicks.

Does seem odd given Alonso's brilliant dead ball delivery.  Probably Rafa wants his height in the box

why cant we put 2 good performances back to back ? i hope this is gonna be a game of 2 halves. the greeks have spent the first half diving, warnock has given the ball away at every opportunity, hamman is hoofing anything that moves, and our defence has failed to turn up again .
that just about sums up the first half. :no

They've been going down on the slightest of touches and the ref has fallen for it. Still, cant deny we've been poor, especially when we've had freekicks in dangerous areas.

I can see Kewell coming on soon after half time

Very poor. We seem so stretched during these away games on massive pitches (Bolton, Man U and tonight). No pass and move - everyone is too far apart.

Another set piece goal conceded, Dudek is flapping about like a kipper all match, and Collina and Olympiakos are ruining it as a spectacle by giving them free-kicks every 10 seconds, while they keep fouling us. Our tackling has been poor at times as well.

I hate these European away games. Too much rolling around and diving, and there never seems to be much football played.

At least some of these nutters that have been saying that we wont miss stevie because alonso is better can see that they're talking rubbish. Alonso is a great player, but we miss Stevie's drive in the midfield, and no other player can give us that. We look stale and flat right now. We may as well throw Djibril on and see if we can get a goal back quickly, otherwise the game will just fade out.

Xabi has over-hit the only one he has took, and to be fair he seems to do that with his free kicks.

Zonal marking, what the fuck is the point? What are the benefits of only having yer best header's of the ball in certain areas? All they have to go is stick their best player on our worst one and aim for him. Bleedin' stupid it is!

The ref has fell for so many of these cheating shites falling over tonight.

Granted we have been poor, but i must say..

...Collina has had the worst 1/2 I have seen of him ever. Far to many soft free kicks being given in his favour, and Baros has been targeted by thier defence.

Dudek wasn't very convincing for their goal.

Wasn't exactly a full-stretched dive. Hardly moved towards the ball purposefully.
