Looks like

Dudek
Josemi - Carra - Sami - Riise
Finnan - Ste G - Didi - Kewell
Cisse - Baros

btw anyone know how much the game costs as a one off for existing Sky sports customers with telewest?

they didn't

When he went through the side, he said

Dudek in Goal
Josemi, Carra, Hyypia and Riise in defence,
Finnan, Gerrard, Hamman and then sounded like Diouf on the left.

???

Obviously kewell just wanted to make sure i was going mad ;D

It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

The defense looks pretty good, and the strikers are clearly dangerous.  Midfield is a bit up and down, though.  Stevie G. OK, Kewell nicely involved, but Finnan a tad pedestrian and Didi nothing too hot.

Is Biscan suspended?  When can Nunez play?

Just my opinion, but Kewell and Baros have looked out of sorts.  Kewell seems content in letting defenders come to him instead of him going to them forcing them on the the back foot(only done that once and Naybet almost put it in his own net).  Baros, as other people have said, first touch is a bit heavy at times, give it time and he'll be alright he's working hard.  Cisse, goal was very much a case of right place, right time  someone has to score those :) With Cisse there has been a couple of times where he's looked to knock the ball past the defender  near midfield and use his pace to get by them, the problem is the defender is about 5 yards ahead of him, if he could use a closer first touch to try and draw the defender in and then knock it by, he would stand a much better chance of beating them (god talk about stating the obvious  :butt ).

Both teams seem a little cagey, for spurs Johnny Jackson seems dangerous, good left foot crosses.  Redknapp is lucky to still be on the pitch because of a very poorly timed challenge from behind on SG (did get a yellow for it).

One more goal for LFC should seal it, Spurs seem almost bereft of attacking ideas.

Finished 1-1. It isn't a great start but not a bad start. We have gone away from home on the openening day of the season, against a side with a new manager and some new optimism, and got a point.

We sounded quite solid (bit worried as Josemi seemed a little nervous to me) but we looked good in defence. We didn't look too good in midfield, but again, we looked good enough.

Cisse was a revelation, we looked a completelty diff side when he came off.

Lets now take it to those manc bastards and do them next week !!!
