I've been watching Ashes to Ashes recently, and thought the behaviour of the police in the 80s was exaggerated. Police brutality, changing reports, masonic lodges and handshakes and keeping everyone sweet....but the more I read of today's evidence, the more I see that's how it was. Unbelievable. people, no matter their standing, need to be brought to justice for this.

This man perpetrated the original lie that went around the world. He was either misled by senior police officers or he colluded with them. Either way he has a case to answer in a court of law.

I've got a page set up, with a basic explanation.

We the undersigned demand that the government strips Irvine Patnick not just of his knighthood and OBE - but any pension that he has picked up from the taxpayer since leaving Parliament in 1997.

This is due to the lies that he helped to spread in co-horts with the South Yorkshire Police and The Sun Newspaper in the aftermath of the Hillsborough Disaster on the 15th April 1989, as proven by the Hillsborough Independent Panel on the 12th September 2012.

What do people think of that as a wording, get it spread on twitter and everywhere else?
