2 A fast start, we are looking at hitting it wide on the flanks, Sheffield are straight away trying to close down the space. We manage to make it into their box and pass the ball around trying to find a space, they eventually get it away.

3' A careless bit of play from us, we lose the ball they break but the shot is straight at Adrian.

4 It is very competitive in the midfield, both sets of players battling for the ball, we are getting plenty of possession but haven't managed to create a chance yet.

6 United are being very open here, throwing players forward when they can. There really should be some space for our attackers to exploit, its noticeable that Salah too is tracking back when they get hold of the ball.

8 We are getting some nice bits of play, a good move between Mane and Robbo but it gets cleared. Then a lovely ball in by Bobby to Salah in the box, he backheels the ball but there is no one there and it gets cleared.

Sheffield crowd well up for this game. We're having to weather some sharp counter attacks and Trent being just a touch sloppy...

10' Trent played a lovely cross field ball to Robbo before, but it gathered speed on the wet ground and he couldn't quite keep it in. Unlucky. Sheffield are packing loads of players back when we break, we may need to be patient today.

16 Lovely move started by a gorgeous pass by Matip to Gini who put the ball in and it goes out for a corner for us. The corner goes in Van Dijk challenges it, its cleared then Trent wins the ball back, but they cover well and the ball goes out off Trent for a goal kick. Looks like Salah has been moved centrally now, he had a quick conversation with Klopp.

18 We are keeping the ball, being very patient trying to draw them out, but they are packed with numbers at the moment. It's good we're not panicking.

20' Taylor has penalised Mane for a "high boot", yet again only matters when its one of our players. Then United break and they make a half decent chance but don't score. Still 0-0, can they keep it up though?

Noticeable that the goalie let that cross go. He's actually on the Man United books their goalie, need to put him under more pressure.

25' Liverpool continue to be patient and work the ball around the field from right to left and front to back.

Ball is moved froward to Mane but too bouncy - he works it back to Salah who fires wide.

We really need to be challenging for those second balls more aggressively, they are first to them at the moment.

They are winning those second balls very quickly, we seem to be off the pace slightly. We need to up the tempo a bit.

45 United kick off. Another thought about Mane and his missed chances. He has only had one training session this week, so maybe his sharpness isn't at a hundred per cent. I'm confident he will score next time.
