So we have a temporary Sporting Director for the January Transfer Window?

That, therefore , means we are buying at least one and probably two! ;D

When are the Liverpool directors finally going to take action against the corruption in the Premier League?

2 disallowed goals today and one handball in the previous game.

This is supposed to be again "incompetence" and "coincidence"? when it is clearly dirty English Corruption.

You know why this is corruption? They get to look at their performances afterwards and see the shite decisions they made yet there are no mprovements, there are no apologies, there are no corrections.

When you've got the likes of Webb running this "outfit", it is easy to see why.

Anyway, our owners are soft. They don't want to rock the boat. As long as we get a piece of the pie and are allowed to compete, all's well and dandy!

Anyone know anyone at FSG or Redbird or Lebron - or anyone else that owns our club?
Now is the time to invest. Forget value - we have the chance of glory. It’s going to be a 60+ game season. Please don’t let us fall short because of AFCON, the Asia cup and a long injury list. Come on John Henry show us what you’ve learned in the last decade. January signings can make a difference

anyone surprised we haven't done a naming-rights deal for Anfield - at least with respect to some stands?

I think the owners may not want to kick the hornets nest with respect to Anfield overall - but they do have a deal for the training ground with AXA (right?).

No.

For me, it makes sense to leave naming rights to the next owners. Not tying the club down to long-term naming rights deals. Leaves an opportunity for nation-states to do it. That increases the value of the asset.

You have to leave a bit in it for the next owners.

I think they were looking for the main when it was done, but no agreeable deal could be reached.  At the time they stated they wouldn’t do a deal for the whole stadium, and it would always be called Anfield

Absolutely massive calls need to be made over the next few months. A new manager and a new SD. When, ideally, the SD would lead the search for a new manager.

It will be a tough job for anyone to accept or consider.

Who would like to succeed Jurgen Klopp and compete against a corrupt system with limited funds?

I'd be surprised if someone like Xabi Alonso accepted.

So I think, Alonso-aside, they will be looking at managers who are proven to work well and have had success under other data-led teams. Looking at Brighton and Brentford, primarily.

Alonso just feels too right as a natural successor - improving players, budget, CL experience and knows what the PL is like from playing in it. I like De Zerbi, but I think the pressure of the club might get to him.

So.. I'm 100% on board with the it being "the right man" over the "right name" or someone who will drive more social media interactions. 100%.

But.

I don't think the current, or previous, Brentford/Brighton Managers are going to do anything except incite a riot.
