Rather average film. Decent enough fun I guess, but I think it came off poorer due to the really poor pacing at the start before kicking off during the end. Unfortunately, I didn't find this character as likeable as Rey, which was also a bit of a downside, but again the character grew though the reason for growing appeared really flimsy. Overall, thought it was average for the most part.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

Not sure how accurate amazon.com is (or how easily it is to edit) but there seems to be 2 versions of the Rogue One film coming out soon...

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Theatrical Version) - https://www.amazon.com/Rogue-One-Story-Theatrical-Version/dp/B01N4BO3X3/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1484526188&sr=1-1&keywords=rogue+one

Should be interesting to see just what is - and isn't - on that bonus content...

It seems tomorrow could me my last chance to get a third viewing so I guess we are able to talk openly :)
I liked it ( although, I'd stare at two cardboard cutouts of stormtrooper for 90mins and be happy).
What I really liked is how smoothly it seems to hand over to Star Wars and the opening scene.
(Although not sure what happened to the rebel fleet)
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Rogue One passes the $1billion mark for global box office takings - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2017/01/22/star-wars-rogue-one-crosses-1-billion-at-the-worldwide-box-office

The Spanish Amazon site has Rogue One being released on dvd on the 12th April - https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B01N2UGXIU/

I do like the new Episode VIII title - especially with the red title logo, reminiscent of ROTJ.

Sounds potentially dark and bleak with a title like that, always expected it to be similar to Empire in that sense.

Really excited to see Luke again. It was a good ending to Ep7 but I was just dying to see Luke speak for a few minutes at the end

A lot of people take the red font and tone of the title as dark, maybe thinking it will be similar to Empire, but Rian Johnson has said he wants the film to be a fun, enjoyable blast, so I wouldnt get too attached to the idea of it being especially dark.

I want it to be a blast and to be funny and to be a ride the way The Force Awakens and the original Star Wars movies were.

artwork for various covers is in the link above...

Seems there are no deleted scenes or commentary.

I take it your man in the leather jacket is supposed to be Han? And they couldn't have gotten someone that at least resembles a young Harrison ford a little closer than that? This shit reminds me of the kind of balls they pulled with Terminator Genisys. Oh, look who also in the frame...

Aye, after the recent two Star Wars efforts, I'll be giving this one a wide berth.

I'd need proper convincing to go watch this.  Unlike the other two films I can't see this adding anything to the Star Wars universe.  But I'm happy to get to pick and choose which SW films I get to see now.  TFA was decent enough and Rogue One was (for me) epic.

The only reason I might watch this is if they did movie versions of the Han Solo novels but I doubt this will be anywhere near close.
