thought it would be far more than 74%

That's because the statement 'always want the win' has no resonance with Everton fans, it speaks of a dreamland many miles away from their reality, hence, as they don't recognise such a concept they have been forced to select the only option they recognise, the 'bitterness' option.

And like they've got a choice anyway

You'd have thought, now they can't surpass Roberto's 1st season in charge, they might want to beat Moyesy's last season in charge.

Ronald really has pushed them on (to a point whereby they have managed to scrabble back up to where they were with Davy boy)

Looking forward to next year when Oumar Niasse (4 goals) returns to his rightful home as their top scoring striker alongside Valencia (3 goals), Calvert-Lewin (1 goal) and Kone (2 goals) with Lukaku exploring his potential elsewhere and his money being spent on Rooney and his family.

Jan 1996 Arsenal 1-2 Everton

Infact their away record against top 6 is shocking.

Quote
@EFCFansCorner
Our last away win at the top 6:

Chelsea - 1994
Spurs - 2008
Liverpool - 1999
City - 2010
United - 2013 (1992 before that)
Arsenal - 1996

So the viewing party for the final game of the season is going to be to cheer on Everton or Arsenal?

Remember when we had Blackburn on the last day of the season and beating them would help the Mancs (our greatest rivals) win the league? Difference between a big club and a small club right there.
Whilst a club legend was managing the other team.
Then in the midddle out pops a smiling glen johnson pulling up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt of suarez with a text saying. "OUR SUAREZ IS A FRIEND TO ALL COLOURS!"

The premise of whether Everton should let Arsenal beat them or not is utterly flawed. When was the last time they went away to a half decent side and won?
When was it that they got a late equaliser at the Emirates and then declared themselves title challengers?

They are all practically praying that if we get that CL spot that we will get one of the big guns in the qualy rounds (which never happens) and if we do qualify that we will be in some difficult group of death and struggle and then go into the Europa.

I love how their small time bitterness is on show for the world to see on that forum, they would rather see us fail because to them that is more important than them winning something.

Weirdos.

Just so those Evertonians peeking onto Rawk know.. keep these dates handy:

Everton are in the 3rd round qualifying of the EL:

Draw date: July 14th
Match dates: July 27th, August 3rd.

Get past that and into the playoff round:

Draw date: August 4th
Match dates: August 17th and 24th.

Then you get into the Group Stages should you get through.

These aren't even really the 7th best side in the league. Leicester are much better and will almost certainly finish above them next season. The only reason they are where they are is because the players wanted Ranieri out.

raneiri fucked it up by constantly messing with the lineups, would also say lukaku going will hurt them far more.

Can definitely see Leicester getting closer to the top 6 next season than Everton were this provided they don't lose all their best players - some of their lot seem to think they're going to get loads of quality players in but they'll do well to stay 7th next season

If we can't beat Boro at home last game of the season then we absolutely do not belong in the 'Champions' League.

That's how I saw it too. I was a community care worker back then and I took a young season ticket holder to that match. He was in a wheelchair space at the front of the paddock right by the Kop. I was sat just behind him. I remember seeing people arguing on the Kop when we scored. I know many wanted the win no matter what, but plenty of others were more interested in Salford not winning the title. There was plenty of arguing between the two camps that day from where I was sat.

A lad in a Blackburn shirt in the Paddock got a heroes welcome once the final whistle went. Back-pats and handshakes galore. When Jamie scored that cracker there were plenty of "oh shit" and "oh fucks" heard until everyone realised Salford had fucked it up anyway. It was quite a surreal day. I'd never seen Reds arguing amongst themselves before like I did that afternoon.

Talk in The Telegraph of Everton spending £75m (of the Lukaku and Barkley money presumably) on Sigurdsson, Mauricio Lemos (Las Palmas defender), who they might not even be able to get a work permit for and Andre Gray.

It was different though was it not, it was not just about stopping United, it was about one of or greatest club legends, a man who after Hillsborough had jacked it in through stress and was now taking tiny Blackburn to be champions. It was not just about United, he is (and was) one of ours and he was at Anfield with us that day.

Start with Gonzo, Nooky Bear and Bagpuss and you will be nearer the reality of Everton's summer.

Last year-Witsel and Mata morphed into Valencia and Gueye, meanwhile Moshiri added £450m to his wealth without spending anything up here, even taking a council loan.

jesus, just seen can's goal won fan's goal of the season, or something like that. Giroud's wasn't only goal of the season, it was possibly the best goal ever in the premier league, the build up was pretty good to it as well. You see a goal like can's nearly every week in the football league somewhere. Gary Neville was spot on though, whenever a liverpool player is in for some award they usually win it because of the amount of saddo's they have going to the effort of voting.
