Let me fish out my table prediction from the predictions thread on the main forum...even though it was a mere 2 weeks ago, I'm bemused as to why I have Chelsea to win it, I'd go with City 1st and Chelsea 2nd or perhaps even 3rd behind Arsenal. I feel they'll struggle, but in a relative sense. I think Newcastle, Villa and West Brom will continue their slumps in form from the second half of last season and that will result in the latter two going down. I think Stoke will do well this year and secure that 8th spot which is currently top of the non CL-contenders, but the order below that is a barely educated guess...

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the final PL table...

Chelsea
Man City
Arsenal
Liverpool (combined with a few CL performances to be proud of I'd be delighted with this, retaining CL status)
Man Utd (please not top 4)
Spurs
Everton
Stoke
Hull
Palace
Southampton
Sunderland
West Ham
Swansea
Newcastle
QPR
Leicester
Villa
West Brom
Burnley

So the one thing you can guarantee is that this will definitely not be the final league table...

Top Scorer: I believe in you Danny.

Which players are going to make a name for themselves this season?: I think Sterling will really amaze non-Liverpool fans this year and show everyone just why we hold him in such high regard. As for potential breakout seasons for players from other teams, mainly I just don't know enough about their young players. Bojan could prove an inspired signing by Stoke though if he can find anything like his old form, I see him hitting 10 in the league. And hopefully van Gaal has a row with Shaw and Janujizz over who has the hairiest testes and they both have subdued seasons.

Who will be the Premier League surprise package?: I think Newcastle will surprise everyone by continuing to be rubbish and Stoke will surprise people by playing good football.

Which summer signing will prove the best?: I just hope it's one of ours.

First managerial sacking?: Pardew. I like Newcastle but I think they've gone past the point of no return in terms of morale under Pardew, and they'll just keep struggling. They need a fresh start.

Player with most assists?: Sterling.

1. Chelsea
2. Man City
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Man Utd
6. Everton
7. Spurs
8. Newcastle
9. Stoke
10. Swansea
11. Crystal Palace
12. Hull
13. West Ham
14. WBA
15. QPR
16. Southampton
17. Sunderland
18. Aston Villa
19. Burnley
20. Leicester

Top Scorer - Aguero

Make a name for themselves - (Sterling made a name for himself last year so imo no counting him) I'd say Janmaat, Lallana, Jovetic and Barkley to cement himself as one of the top 10 players in the league. Also Lamela if he has a good run of games.

Surprise package - Newcastle and Stoke who I see having relative (to them) good seasons as I think they've done smart business in the transfer window. It will be the usual top 6/7 so no surprises there.

Best summer signing - for us I'd say Lallana. In general I'd say Sanchez unless Vidal or Reus come to the premier league.

First managerial sacking - Paul Lambert

Player with most assists - Fabregas

I'm curious as to why so many predict Hull to be so good, some even saying top half? They were only 4 points off relegation last season, and now have Europa League to contend with which has been ominous in the past for bottom half sides. Snodgrass and Ince are decent signings but IMO they're still short on both quality and quantity to handle Europe and the league.

no-one ever looks back at these threads at the end of the season.
I had a look for last season's predictions thread and couldn't find it.

I think this was my last season prediction:

City
Spurs
Liverpool
Arsenal
Chelsea
Man Utd
Everton

I was banking on a Mourinho meltdown but got a AVB meltdown instead. Swap those round and I wasn't far off.
Got laughed at for putting the Mancs in 6th. ;D

anyhoo...this season:

Liverpool
City
Chelsea
Arsenal
Man Utd
