I know, I know - 2 minutes of effort to sign yet another e-petition. But we've seen how effective they can be, and I'm sure the majority of you are outraged that Bettison can avoid losing his pension by retiring (unless he is pursued on criminal charges). This is something that needs to be changed going forward, but that also needs to affect people like Bettison and Duckenfield. Clearly the IPCC knows they could prove Gross Misconduct but their hands are tied. Let's see if there's enough will out there to untie them, while stepping up the pressure to strip him of his various honours (more to come on that).
