Top man Harinder - great gesture.

Have you asked Doc?
I know he lives in Brum but he's attends plenty of games and may be able to give it a home - even if its on a temporary basis until you get a full time caretaker for the banner.

I will ask our kid if he can mind the banner. He is well connected with the peeps from the HJC shop and lives on the way to Anfield from the city centre. Si it will be easy for pick ups on the way to matches. I will be seeing him later and wil post back here tomorrow.

It's arrived. Came just as I was leaving for work. Photos tonight!

For all those who don't get the link from the banner to this thread here it is. Kesey - it had me welling up on the train this morning. I didn't really know the song or the lyrics but as soon as I listened I understood what you meant. Actually welling up trying this. This is why I love RAWK and our club. Together we're fearless. Moreso than we ever realise. One, in the together sense of the word, has never been stronger.

A cause and need for justice and truth has been sung about for 23 years and will carry on until the journey of our gone but never forgotten souls is complete. I shouldn't cry or well up. I know this holds back their souls from passing on without pain but we are human. We may all not believe in God or a higher being. We do all though believe in Truth... Its come. Justice is but around the corner. We are all making that path happen

We never walked alone. We had 96 others carrying us.

Fearless by Pink Floyd

You say the hill's to steep to climb, climbing
you say you'ld like to see me try, climbing
you pick the place and I'll choose the time
and I'll climb the hill in my own way
just wait a while for the right day
and as I rise above the tree-line and the clouds
I look down, hearing the sounds of the things you've said today

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd, smiling
mercyless the magistrate turns round, frowning
and who's the fool who wears the crown
go down in your own way
and every day is the right day
and as you rise above the fear-lines in his crown
you look down, hearing the sound of the faces in the growd

You never walk alone, you never walk alone
walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
and you never walk alone, you never walk alone

Wow. Never really got massively into Floyd so never really knew this song - how perfect are the lyrics and how unbelievably prescient and poignant that an Arsenal fan wrote a song in the 70s that could have been inspired by the campaign, and chose to sample LFC supporters singing YNWA.

Awesome. Great banner.

Kesey - this one's for you and everyone who wants justice for the 96

It seemed only appropriate that the song that inspired this banner get an airing at Anfield. Whom better to ask than George himself?

From: Harinder Singh

Subject: Favour. We climbed hill

Hi George

I am but a humble Liverpool fan looking to ask you for a small favour. No doubt your playlist is already set and ticking for tomorrows match against Anzhi as well as all the tracks in between.

The reason for the favour

Tomorrow night this banner will be unveiled on the Kop for the first time.

The history behind it can be seen here http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=298338.0 and it would be extremely fitting if you could play Fearless by Pink Floyd which inspired the wording?

I thought long and hard in regards to what I should say in this mail to plead a case but the words of the song and everything that has come out over the last 6 weeks, especially this week in parliament, cannot be given justice by my mere mortal words. What could I possibly add to that which has been so eloquently stated by our own?

If it is not possible I know already that you would have tried. Having heard you for over 15 years now any true Red knows the service you provide as the voice of Anfield is a valuable one.

Warmest regards and thanks for the consideration of this request
Harinder

Hi Harinder.

I haven't got my playlist for tomorrow night yet but I HAVE burned "Fearless" on to a CD and will try and play it at some stage tomorrow night
