Why are we confident about this signing now?
He's signing for Arsenal. We're not confident.

Duncan Jenkins said "100% happening". He wouldn't say that unless he was sure.

Some one just tweeted that we have one year loan WITH option to buy its meant to be broadcasting on Turkish tv, won't post tweet cause could be shit don't want make same mistake as earlier ;)

I think that will be found out as being total rubbish. Seems to me that one of the reasons why we became a front runner over Arsenal was that we didn't press on the option to buy front... that and the fact that we are Liverpool. And the fact that they were selling their main player. And that they haven't won anything for a while... tedious songs... I could go on.

He'll love it here. Hopefully by November he'd have heard of the Ramones (loved that idea VdM ;) )

Rodgers will be fuming. He thought Allen would get 45-60 mins.
Coleman was equally bullish - said he doesn't expect a call from Brendan re Allen and even if he got one, it would not be welcome. Can't wait until we start to flex our muscles again, but first- there is the small matter of getting into a position to be able to do this.

Oh the Ramones. 24 hours before every league start, I listen to I wanna be sedated. "TWENTY-TWENTY-TWENTY-TWENTY FOUR HOURS TO GOOOOOO, I WANNA BE SEDE-DED!"

Anyway, Sahin. He will strengthen us so, so much. Like someone said, we'll have him for a season, he returns to Real and we get Xabi back for his last one or two seasons. I love pipe dreams.

Well that was what i assumed as he seems to replacement for Alonso and guessing year out developing him would do real a huge favour, would be sweet deal if there was option to buy but i doubt it. I was just pointing what been said all over Twitter but then again so much is said.

Well as was said, Bale got 45 minutes so presumably he was fine getting a call from Spurs? It's not him that pays Allen's wages anyway, as you said hope we take a more club-focussed stance next time if this is the way Coleman's going to act, especially if it's a pointless fixture like these friendlies.

No mate as i said just shit on Twitter, as some one else pointed out hugely unlikely as that was meant to be one of reasons he was not going to Arsenal.

They won't. When they're this sure, it really is imminent but even then things can change. He could get shot driving from John Lennon Airport for example, which would really suck.

Not that I know of Bob. I must admit though - in that same interview, he actually defended our move for Allen and was full of praise for the way we traditionally play. He also played down the fee, saying he would certainly pay the reported amount and a bit more for Allen.

mirror also says we missed out on tello.

So I will fully expect Tello to join us, and Sahin to come without an option to purchase.

Yeah, but when so many journos and ITK's en masse say the same thing it's pretty damn hard to ignore.

So he's expected to be a Liverpool player sometime today? Fucking hope so  :wave

ALL 3 players should interchange really well actually. While Gerrard might not skin a player like Suarez can, he can certainly put in a quality cross.
No harm in putting Sahin in the 1st eleven instead of Downing.
