They won't announce it until he's flown over here, had a medical etc. Once they've made the agreement with the club and the player verbally there is no rush to announce anything. People are starting to get edgy because the haven't heard anything for 12 hours so they start to wonder whether it was untrue or that the deal is falling apart. The reality is he's probably just jumping on a plane this morning, expected to arrive at melwood in the afternoon to finalise everything so the announcement can be made late afternoon/this evening.

Suarez has decent pace. More acceleration than sprint speed.
Dempsey is deceptively quick.
Sterling is rapid.
Gerrard is fairly quick. More acceleration than sprint speed.
Cole has a good burst of pace when taking players on.
Johnson is very quick, as is Enrique. They will provide most of the width.

i dont disagree with most of that, but had to laugh at the bit about cole.

Think we're waiting to see if we can offload Adam first. I personally think we already have a deal in place for Dempsey, and just waiting to go through with it once Adam's future is sorted.

I remember them saying that he wasn't match fit. As it makes no sense, I think he's just demanding a move.

Fell out with the manager in Switzerland, had a massive argument in front of all the players. Also because he wants to move, I think he's refusing to play.

I can't see him lifting them to anywhere above 7th. He got relegated with Blackpool remember.

the club are confident that he will sign. this is what all the sources suggest. no guarantee until its on the official site though. ben smith of your BBC is confident it will happen as well.

Still 7th is better than where we finished last season. Plus Everton are much better than Blackpool. He would improve them by a fair bit in my opinion, they need a deep lying playmaker.
