Diouf joins Leeds
« on: August 11, 2012, 06:31:34 PM »
"The 31-year-old Senegal international, who was twice named African Footballer of the Year, had been training with the west Yorkshire side this week.

Diouf, whose former clubs also include Blackburn and Sunderland, has made over 300 appearances in English football and spent much of last season with Doncaster Rovers, playing 23 times as they were relegated to League One.

His move to the Elland Road club will come as a shock to some as current manager Neil Warnock once labelled Diouf ‘a sewer rat’, following his tackle on QPR striker Jamie Mackie that left the Scot with a broken leg.

The winger also berated Mackie as he was stretchered off, further incensing the former Hoops boss.

"For many years I've thought he is a gutter-type of boy and I was going to call him a sewer rat but that might be insulting the sewer rats. I think he's the lowest of the low," Warnock said at the time. "

Nice to see Warnock sticking to his opinions about Diouf.

Dislike both Warnock and Diouf. They are made for each other as far as I'm concerned.

He signed his rat

The most hated football player in the country joins the most hated club, with the most hated fans and an absolute twat of a manager. Perfect match for each other.
My Twatter: @MasonRed4

He wasn't perfect, he made mistakes. But he was genuine. He had the best interests of the club at heart, and gave us a plethora of successful teams that we should have been thankful for.

Dirty Leeds get a dirty player, shocker.
Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

Life’s so much easier when you’ve got someone to blame.

Football without fans is nothing.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

I'll add Michael brown to that as he's a dirty prick. Not sure if he's still there but was recently.

A wanker for a wanker
Didi Hamann

In the corridors and changing rooms of Anfield I met many people - the great, the talented, the legendary.  I know that I only met one genius.  He was a small, smiling man with a neatly clipped beard.  His name was Rafael Benitez.
