Liverpool vs Arsenal

(1/13) > >>

DG:
Hi. Since a few years now I live in Sweden, and every time I go to see the reds play I fly to manchester. Now, I've got tickets for the Arsenal game but there's no bloody flight to manchester.

So looking it up, I figured it's cheapest to fly to Stansted, then take the train from there. Now, I've actually never taken the train from Stansted to Liverpool, only Liverpool Street in London to Lime Street.

So which is the cheapest, easiest way to get from Stansted to Liverpool? Is it the train to Liverpool Street then directly to Lime Street, or is there an easier way (or preferably cheaper)?

Also, should I book tickets before hand?

Graeme:
You'll need to get yourself from Stansted to London Euston to get the train to Liverpool. Quick look on Trainline suggests you need to get the Train from Stansted to Tottenham Hale and then the Tube from there to Euston.

Others who have done the journey in the past may know of a better way.

Aye, that's the route I got recommended, just hoped for an easier way.

Graeme:
You can get a coach direct from Stansted to Birmingham and then a train to Liverpool but I'd bet it takes longer than the trains option.

Where can I look it up?
