If you want to move him to tears and forever make him a Red, just have the Kop sing Soy Celeste:

It is a very simple chant (three lines only), but for us it's the equivalent of YNWA and The Fields of Anfield Road, all rolled into one.

Now, as much as I like the just can't get enough song, it's not as fun now that pretty much every team in the country have ripped it off for themselves. What are people's opinions on this as a second song for Suarez (though it doesn't mention his name)?

Currently "soy celeste" means "I'm blue" for the blue of Uruguay. So a little tampering with the lyrics and we have

Soy el rojo! El rojo soy yo
Soy el rojo! El rojo soy yo
Soy el rojo! El rojo soy yo
Soy el rojo! El rojo soy yo

It's pretty simple, has a little rhythm to get us bouncing and is easy for anyone to pick up. Most of all, I'm sure Suarez and Coates would appreciate it.

Oh and in case any of your knuckleheads don't get it, it translates to "I'm red". ;)

I like it - or how about just singing Luis Suarez to the first part of the tune?
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

"soy el rojo" sounds rather foolish in Spanish.

If you want to do it, "Soy un rojo" works much better:

Soy un rojo,
Soy un rojo.
Un rojo soy yo.

But if you want my opinion, it should just stay "celeste" and make it in honour of us all loving Uruguay.  If you want to make it plural you could do this (we are celeste):

Somos celeste,
somos celeste,
Celeste somos.

I'm not sing 'i'm Blue' in any language.

 :lmao

It's actually sky blue, not blue. There's no blue whatsoever in Uruguay's shirt (as a matter of fact, we had a red shirt as away kit for a number of years). That said, I can see your point...  ;D

If you want to turn it into a Liverpool chant that is still instantly identifiable by Suarez and Coates (and would win a few hearts and minds in Uruguay), you can go with this:

Soy del Rojo (I'm from the Red)
Soy del Rojo (I'm from the Red)
Del Rojo, soy yo (From the Red, I am)

or

Soy un Rojo (I'm a Red)
Soy un Rojo (I'm a Red)
Un Rojo, soy yo (A Red, I am)

Both of them rhyme very well in Spanish if you use the same tune.  :scarf

I would not change the traditional Soy Celeste for Somos Celeste, as the idea of the chant is that the team and the fans are one, not many. I would also not go for Soy el Rojo (I'm the Red) over Soy un Rojo (I'm a Red). Both of them are a bit awkward and don't rhyme that well in Spanish.

I just think that using a Uruguay tune means we'll have less c*nts ripping off our songs.

There was Hey Jude that the commentator sang for Suarez though when he scored those 3/4 goals against Chile which was quite funny. ;)

You can't complain about other team ripping 'Just Can't Get Enough' off when we stole it from Celtic in the first place.

We nick most of our songs, I know that, but the way just can't get enough went last season was ridiculous. We nicked the Torres song, best midfield in the world, etc etc, but you didn't see every team in the country singing them.
