yeah you can buy at the ticket office before the game, think the prices range from 10 to 15 quid depending on where you sit

You're best either getting there early or ringing the ticket office and asking whether they have tickets left before you go.

When I bought mine last Friday, there were limited doubles (on the kop that is) so you may want to get there sooner rather than later.

Doesn't bode well for Andy Carroll when BR isn't mentioning him in the same breath as Borini in regards to our exciting strike options.

I missed that when I focussed on Gerrard, but you're right. It's a massive blank.

Perhaps but the interview isn't relating to the match itself, he's speaking generally in relation to the future and the season ahead.

Sounds to me like he is talking about the match, he talks of a back four (which excludes Kelly, Coates even Carragher) and then a front four (which excludes Carroll and Sterling). With the team being released so early, and it including them 4 as our attackers, i'm inclined to think he has just let slip accidentally his starting XI.

I would hope so, but I wouldn't be so optimistic about it happening. That interview was posted on .tv today, and he mentions the first leg so how can it be a pre-Gomel "presser" ?

I just presumed as there is a link to the video of the presser for tonights match, for e-season ticket holders on the page. If it isn't then it doesn't bode well, but I wouldn't read too much into it as it is the front four who are starting tonight which gives me a semblance of hope.

I know this may not be the right thread but I need some help (no ticket exchange thread for this game)...

Is there anyone buying tickets from the ticket office today who can buy me one extra? We're bringing a friend from Somerset for his first time as I didn't expect a sell-out. Gonna be a four hour trip and I get the impression from certain comments above that they may be sold out when we arrive at the ground. Don't really wanna give up my seat but as it'd be my fault I'll feel I have to. If anyone can help me out please let me know.

Would be great if Carroll uses any game time he gets tonight to really impress.

Maybe it could help prove to Rodgers he can make his way into the system, or it could even just encourage an offer from Newcastle. Something needs to happen with him else he's just gonna be sitting on the bench all season.

Well none of Kelly, Carra or Coates were part of our starting back 4 last season, it was Johnson, Agger, Skrtel and Enrique all the way through and it's not as if there's another 'back 4' he could refer to

Actually hope Lucas isn't starting, its a bit early for that I think. We still have a few pre season matches to get him at a better fitness level. Very excited to see the team back at Anfield though.

A few pre season matches? We play Leverkusen Sunday and then our next game is West Brom away in the league. Best thing for him is to get some proper match experience, if the staff felt he wasn't ready he wouldn't be starting tonight.

My mistake, but still id rather he start against Bayern then today. Would feel better if he played 60-70 minutes in a friendly before a competitive game. I prefer us to take it slow with him still even if he is ready according to the staff.

The head physio and doctors will know what's best for him. His fitness isn't going to be risked if there's a doubt. If he's going to get back into competitive action he needs gametime in matches where there is a high tempo such as tonight. He may well be substituted tonight after an hour, who knows.
