Maxi and Kuyt both in the same transfer window. I know it's good in the longer term etc but it still hurts.

Best of Luck Maxi, real shame he couldn't stay though as I am sure he would have fitted into Rodgers team superbly.

Very good player and unfortunately very underused last season.

He always knew where the ball would be and is a great pass and move player.

Wish him although best and he seems to have a very good attitude, since not once did he moan when being left out.

All the best Maxi and good luck in your home country

You will be missed. Could've been a squad player this season, but after being under-utilised last season, don't blame him for leaving.

All the best.

Dear Reds, I am leaving Liverpool FC today.

Before signing for LFC, I just saw the club as one of the greatest institutions in football. After my time here I can confirm that this is not just a great club but also a great family.

I have tried to give everything every day that I was wearing the LFC crest. It has been a great honour to defend this shirt during two and a half years. I am returning home with a suitcase full of great memories, good friends within the team and also within this great family that works every day in the club. Thanks a lot for your support. You can NOT imagine what a great honour it was for me when the Kop sang, 'Maxi, Maxi Rodríguez runs down the wing for me da da da da dada...'

Hasta la vista.

Maxi

An intelligent guy as well. He's given his all everytime he wore our shirt and that's something we can't say about everyone.

After Kuyt and Aurelio it's another lad gone. It was probably the right time, though we might regret their departures on a couple of occasions next season.

Maxi, thanks for everything. Adios amigo!
It's just sex and violence, melody and silence.

He might not have spoke English but even he knows that song was boss.
Rather have kept him, but he was on decent wages after coming on a free, so hopefully that gives us a few extra pennies for players/wages.
