I'll be signing up to the FA Cup one. Can't get to Anfield mid-week which rules out Europa Lge and League Cup, but looking forward to another good cup run (hopefully)

After reading all manner of crappy FAQs, I still don't know if I can get five seats together in the upper anny road. Anyone know?

I've just called the ticket office and they say I can buy 5 together. She didn't sound totally sure though.

Just noticed the EL ACS includes the qualifier, hadn't thought about that game being included for some reason and not sure I can make it.

Quite right too. Most of the fuss last season was because members could wait and see who we were drawn against before committing unlike ST holders.

Though I thought ST holders had to sign up to the ACS at the same time as renewing their ST ?

They've changed thew ACS this season where ST holders can get ACS tickets near to other ST holder friends & not necessarily on the seat or near the seat they sit for EPL games.  I sit in the Upper Centenerary but liked to sit near my mate in the Kop for cup games.  Couldn't do that through the ACS until this season.

I thought the same, makes it sounds like you just pick a block.

Can't believe they're charging us 25p per competition to sign up to this as well!

I must admit to being disgusted by the 25p fee, its nothing but it a little insulting really.

I am confused slightly by this.

2 of us have all of the home games from FA Cup last season, and will be entering into the auto cup scheme on Monday. However where in this does our loyalty come? It seems to me that every member regardless of attendence at previous rounds will get a chance to secure their seat for the entire competition on Monday. seems a bit shite? am I missing something glaringly obvious here?

Don't think you are missing anything, that was more or less how it worked last season as well (although different selling time for members, with the first sale of tickets for the FA Cup 3rd round) - they didn't take previous season's FA Cup attendance into account last year (they did, I think, however insist on a minimum of 3 PL home games from the current season).

Also, if you want to be on the auto cup scheme you'll be virtually (if not) totally guaranteed to get on. It'll be popular for sure, but not so popular that demand will out do supply....certainly at this time of year.

You dont need any loyalty to join the ACS but I guess the loyalty will come in to play once the frist sale starts for the remaining tickets. But it would make sence to use loyalty to join the ACS...

Yeah, I wasn't sure how it'd work with them being included in the ACS. I was wondering if it'd mean I missed out on credits if I didn't join the ACS and just started going at the group stages.  #credithunter ;D

A word of warning when picking your seats:

The long-standing error where the seating plans are being shown in mirror image has not been fixed.  Seats that go from left to right are shown as going from right to left in the ticketing system.  If you want the right-hand side of Kop block 202 for example, you need to pick the left-hand side on the plan, or you'll end up against the wall.

Yeah, you should go by the seat numbers as a guide, rather than the position. Seat 1 is by the 208 wall and the higher numbers are at the 202 end.

Really confused with this cup scheme lads. For clarification I go through the process of selecting the cup competitions / then seats and then get charged 25p for the process per competition?

How do you know if you've got a ticket for the rounds coming up etc?

It's the auto cup scheme, so you automatically have the seat you pick today for every home game in that competition. For example, you click FA Cup, pick a seat and pay 25p. That seat is yours for every home game in the FA Cup this season. The money for your ticket is taken out automatically a few weeks before every game, once the club know who we are playing and therefore how much the ticket will cost. You will get a paper ticket sent through the post. If you buy your seat today you don't have to worry about getting a ticket for home games in the competition(s) you choose, as you already have one. It is effectively a season ticket for cup games.

Thanks for clearing that up. If you enter the auto cup scheme are you entering any kind of a agreement with the club to buy a ticket every round for the FA Cup for example. I won't know until very late on if I can go or not you see

You are yes, but only for home games. If you enter the FA Cup auto cup scheme, and we get a home tie, you will have a ticket for that match. The money for that ticket will be taken from your account automatically. If nearer the time you realise you can't go it's up to you what you do with the ticket, but you will definitely have one and pay for it. As far as I know you can't return it to the club, although I'm not sure on that.

here we go again. I don't like the look of this "first come first served" system at 8.15. they should start a queuing process earlier than when they open.
