Can't believe more people don't rate Dzagoev on here, i think he's potentially a world beater and already is a good player at 22.
If showing respect to the 96 and other victims of Hillsborough on the 15th is seen as unacceptable by other teams fans then I am glad I support Liverpool and understand some things are more important than football

Thanks for your opinion. It was expertly expressed.  :tosser

What is someone meant to write in reply to crap like you only dont rate him because he's been linked with Spurs? And he bossed the euros?! That'd be the Euros where they only won one game and went out in the group stage right? Yeah he bossed it alright! He scored some goals in fairness to him but boss the Euros he certainly didnt. He's decent but has gone backwards over the years if anything, nothing in him stands out.

Didn't know about his contract situation, but the suggestion that he isn't good is laughable. Before he became dead cert to be a Spurs player, and before he was a dirty manc whom we didn't want anyway, Gylfi was enjoying a RAWK wide wankfest. At the same time Dzagoev was bossing the Euros at 22.

No he wasn't. Scored a few tap-ins and that was it.

Tap ins? :o

Screamer against the Czech, and a neat header against the Poles. Was the only Russian to not completely check out after the first game. Had a great tournament. The fact that we crashed out in the groups had nothing to do with his performances.

He has the potential to be exactly that. I always favour those players who seem to have that extra half a second on the ball. Those types that take their time and tend to choose the right option more often than not. You can never be sure how a player will turn out but Dzagoev has as good a chance as any of making that step up to that 'World class' level.
Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

Dzagoev is a pretty good player but the Euros made him look like this world-beater that he isn't.

He wasn't, he put his chances away well but was not bossing anything. He looks a tidy player but would come with a big risk factor and a large transfer fee, we can not afford to make any more mistakes in the transfer market, it is killing us.

It wouldn't be a large transfer fee, and if it was just wait 6 months and get him on a free. I've not seen him much but he looks tidy, a gamble I'd certainly like us to take.

People are forgetting the fact that Dzagoev has just six months on his contract, which means he won't move for what he really is worth. He is a tidy player and I think Spurs will get a coup by buying him.

Anyway, this is a time killer, think I might do something better.

Created loads of chances for Kerzhakov, put him through 1 on 1 at least 3 times, created space for Shirokov, tracked back well. He had a terrific tournament which is only overshadowed by the fact that everyone else became convinced that we've already won the tournament after one match.

When was the last time we had a Russian player?

If he was available on a free what makes you think he would choose us? Not that he would ever be available on a free but if he were the interest would be huge.

Seen all his games and didnt stand out as some one worth paying £15m and that's with 5 years on his contract  not 6 months

Dzagoevs contract seems to be up to 2015, the report that is was up in December this year was incorrect.

Just checked a bunch of Russian sources. He's contracted through 2016, apparently.

Didn't know that. Even more reason to stay away, CSKA would be looking for an exortionate fee.

I don't know if 15 is such a massive fee though. Also, he's Russian, so if things don't work out, we can ship him to Anzhi for double of what we paid.

Exactly, grass is always greener on the other side, and everyone else is better than our own players, and once we get linked with players (and no matter how shit they might be)  they are potentially world class

From what i can see from the papers today the only player we're really mentioned with is Victor Moses. But that might be Whelan just trying to get some interest and a better offer from Chelsea.

Because alot of players have left or are leaving Spurs.

We're not in that position. We've lost Kuyt and Fabio and gained Cole and AA.

He's not that good plus £15m would be a rip off akin to Andy Carroll for £35m considering he has just a few months left before he becomes a free transfer.
And your source is your arse? He has a contract until 2015/2016.
