not sure if this is the right place for this.

Wanted to get rid of some of me arl games and exchange them, so i was about to go to CEX, then i though ah Blockbuster is closer, went in, they offered me

£5.75 cash or £9 odd exchange

i laughed them off.

Just been to pick me bird up from town, thought fuck it, went into CEX, got offered

£18.50 cash or £27 exchange for the same lot.

how the fuck are they allowed to get away with it?

No-one's being forced to sell to BB are they?

They could offer you a penny each for them. They probably wouldn't do much business but it's perfectly OK for them to offer any amount.

imagine people who cant though, shop around that is. Say they needed the cash badly, they would have took the £5.75, basically being ripped off.

The further into the shit they slide, the meaner they'll get, and the further they'll slide. I'm amazed they still exist in any form to be honest, they haven't successfully adapted at all to the digital revolution

they have gone down the swanny, shops are all in need of a revamp , just look awful now. They made a fortune off it though, i remember year ago i was in Puerto Banus, the guys who owned it was there on the port, in their yacht, seen nothing like it. try and find a pic now.

CEX are great for trade ins.

Traded Max Payne 3 and about 20 other very old games in last week, got £26 for Max Payne and £100 for the rest.

Just market forces mate. Shows that you need to shop around, sure there are people who can't be arsed to shop around, that's the price they pay by not getting the best deal out there.

Play them off each other. Gamestation in town will beat the trade in price on trade ins compared to Granger games and CEX (right next to each other).

Go into each. Get a quote then take the best one into gamestation and they will beat it by £1

(I too want BB to fail, their rental prices are insane and they are behind on the times competing with Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Redbox.)
