Yeah. He looked a little short, but not bad for that.

Watched this in the afternoon with my lad. Very enjoyable game for what it was, and Suarez was a big factor in that. Really lit the game up. :)

Cute, but meaningless, neither the defenders or goalies were really trying.  The RoW goalie was particularly feeble!

Much more than cute if you like the idea of some of the world's greatest players on the pitch at the same time.....

Disagree - an exhibition match where the defence is deliberately playing at half pace is not the best showcase for the some of the world's finest players.  Competition is where the best players are seen to be the best.  I could have scored some of those goals with that friendly a goal keeper...

So Sigurdsson was in Miami and didn't get an invite? Bit sly from Messi.

in a 7-7 charity game? really?  ::)
I think I may be turning gay. That back heel & through ball to Enrique made me jizz like Ive never jizzed before. My fiancee has got some serious work to do if she wants to get me as excited as I do about Coutinho.

An exhibition match where the defense is deliberately playing at half pace is not the best showcase for the some of the world's finest players.

I highly disagree with that, but to each his own. I could see how if they were trying, it would make the match more intense and a peek into what a dream team like that would look like, but also it gives everyone a chance to impress the crowd and show off their ability they're not always able to risk in a games that matters.

Also I guess most have already seen this so I may be in the minority here, but I'm glad this thread went up. Had no idea this match happened, and haven't been in the Suarez thread for a while.

Do you believe that the opposite defense was deliberately playing at half pace when Luis scored the second goal?

By the way...who was the player Luis nutmegged?

Well to me it was like watching my lad playing PES on "easy" setting.  Yep he scores goals and they're pretty but pointless getting excited about it.

Don't know about the defenses, but I do remember the GKs making some spectacular saves.

What's wrong with scoring on a friendly? You won't get a Golden Ball but it's a good opportunity to see what you look like with other top players in your team. Plus, many other players were desperate to get their goals, like Cavani, who only managed to score when he got his penalty.

I remember the other day when Cristiano nutmegged Altintop on a friendly, it was remarked in almost every paper here in South America and Spain.
Neymar sneezes and makes it to the front pages, don't see why Suarez can't get a little recognition from time to time ;)

Which is why nobody is getting excited about it.
