New engine too, be interesting seen as MGS4 was supposed to be the end for snake, obviously gonna bring him back from the edge or do a prequel

Hopefully releases solely on PS3.

Didn't Kojima say only rising would be multi-plat? Can't see MGS moving from Sony to be honest.

I can. I doubt there will be many third party exclusives in the future. MGS4 came at a point when the next-gen had just begun and it seemed everyone was hedging their bets on the PS3 to wipe the floor with its competitors. It hasn't happened. If it's a prequel to MGS4, then I'm pretty sure it will be multiplatform.

That all changes if its releasing for the next-gen though.

Kojima has said something along the lines of "not on my watch" when asked about an Xbox version in the past, I'm pretty sure. He's also distanced himself from Metal Gear: Rising (stricken from the franchise, too, with no Solid).

It may well happen, hoping it doesn't though, but I don't think it will. Will be a launch title with the PS4 I reckon.

Got that PS Plus again. Only 90 days as money is tight haha, downloaded oddworld. Infamous 2, MS apocalypse and a couple of others. Can't go wrong for the price.

3 is by far the best one and that's not a dig at the others, they are all brilliant as well.

Don't expect this for another 4 years so no point in speculating on platforms yet.

Its got nothing to do with being "nice to look at" if I wanted to play a nice looking game I'd play uncharted. I think you misinterpreted what I meant by a work of art.

Regardless of the many cutscenes (which are good in my opinion), the gameplay is still excellent. I thought MGS3 was the best MGS game mainly because of the excellent gameplay and story, which I thought MGS4 was lacking a bit of. Though MGS4 did have some great moments like the bike chase, microwave corridor and end fight with Ocelot.

If MGS5 is more like MGS3 than MGS4 then it will be better I reckon.

Love these games, my fav was the first, never played anything like it. I loved 3 as well, especially the sniper battle with The End. 4 was great but some of the cut scenes bored the arse off me, went on a bit. The end fight though was amazing.

Instead of making a direct sequel, I'd rather they just go for a fresh start like MGS 3 where only Naked Snake and Ocelot had appeared in the series before. It made Snake Eater probably the best MGS game.
