Great days them iLFC days. So many good memories.

The double winning year was brilliant when i was player manager but sadly due to family stuff i had to jack it in. Went to pot not long after due to no one really being arsed with actually running a club just wanting to turn up and play.

Like Graeme says got some contacts prob wont be able to get involved though.

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here but that would be no problem I'm sure.
My grandson was 16 when he played for iLFC so it's everyone who turns up deserves some game time was the way it was last time

The other photos were from trips abroad I think which only a few of the actual squad were there. That photo above was more of the core squad.

Just remembered I scored about 25 goals in my last season, not bad for a fat bald dodgy kneed one footed striker.

Nowhere near your Chris harry but set him up for a shitload.

How is he ? He could have played semi pro easy.

Wasn't with ILFC a long time but loved every moment I was involved. Some great times with that team, scored a few from the back, playing with the likes of Harry and Nige etc.

Remember one away game (Leeds I think) when I relived my own goalie days by making not 1 but 2 full length goal line saves (think Harry was sparking up at the time!)

After the second save and play stopped I just walked off didn't even wait for the red card, when the ref did come over to me he just gave me a yellow!

Think Harry saved the pen as well   ;D

Going o.k mate, cheers.

Like yourself still reckon I've got some footy left in me. I stopped going to the ILFC games cos personally I thought the original ethos and spirit was getting lost.

I thought there was certain players who thought they just had to turn up to get a game (and usually did) had enough of that at Sat/Sun League and it pisses me off.

I had never played in defence, but players like you, Nige and Walshys Mullet were brilliant at talking anyone through a game.

As I said, great days. Should get a 'vets' team going (seriously!)

I don't think there is enough yet.

When we did this last time we had a squad of 30 players from RAWK and for some games we were struggling to get a team for games. Many of the ones who have volunteered so far are also from outside the North West and will struggle for regular availability.

I will trawl through the thread tonight on my PC and list the names, positions, geographical locations and general availability of everybody who has posted so far.

I've also got contacts for fans teams of Southport, Runcorn, Tranmere and a couple of others.

There's been a few people trying to organise a weekly game of 5-a-side in Liverpool for over a year now and it's never got off the ground and getting a full squad will be even more difficult. People often post that they will play with the best of intentions but it doesn't then come off.

As I've said I will look over the thread tonight and see where we stand.
Looking at Graemes remarks and wonder if we should perhaps go the 6 a side route with two pitches booked
If we get a good turnout then we could play two games on two pitches separating the Antique players such as myself and a younger team.
Even if we didn't have a veterans team, the prospect of kicking a ball more than 10 yards is daunting for me and I would imagine running more than 10 yards after it might be for some of the outfield players who have volunteered themselves for this
(scatter the .,...,,, appropriately into that last sentence)

Well, to re-declare my support for this and intention to play, I play at least 3 times a week (more when not working) and regularly play centre midfield for two 11 a side teams. I could fill in the gaps with some lads from the "This Is Anfield" I've turned out for on quite a few occasions, sure they'll be up for playing against some Gooners.

What needs doing? Pitch booking/contacting arsenals lot/finding a good pub after/picking the team?
I remember I was in bed with Paul Bearer making proper passionate love to him, and then all of a sudden he was tossing me off. I woke up at around 3am thinking "what the fuck was that?" Only to find my left hand covered in you know what
