Thought I was hearing things there watching n.ire news.  Said Rodgers will take his new Liverpool team to Belfast to play Crusaders at Ravenhill, the rugby ground?

Fair enough, wouldve assumed though it'd be Windsor or Oval or something as opposed to Ravenhill

Happy days my 2 teams playing each other, this will be the 4th time the two clubs have met we played the Crues on our way to winning either our 1st or 2nd European cup and then we also played them again to open their new stand think it was in the early 80s.By the way the reason it is at ravehill is because our home pitch Seaview is 4G which Liverpool didn't want to play on.

Says on crusaders website a Liverpool xv, so more likely the reserves. If so, the tickets will hardly be anymore than £20 surely?

We should win then, but it's a little unfair if we've got fifteen players on our side.

Went to the one in Dungannon a couple of years ago. Suso was playing one of his first games for us at 16 and was by far the best player on the pitch.

Is there an International game this week too? Wouldnt mind bringing my kid to see a few of the first teamers. Might just bring him anyway to see what he gets on like before bringing him to Anfield next season

14th August? Pretty sure we played Linfield in 1995 on this date also. That was my first time ever seeing Liverpool. On a personal note, I think its pretty class that both me and my son will have seen Liverpool for the first time on the same date  :D

Absolutely correct. Windsor Park. Monday 14th August 1995. Linfield 0 Liverpool 1 (Ian Rush). And here is some action from that match :

Is there any official confirmation of any other friendlies apart from the 3 against Toronto, Roma and Spurs? The website lists only these 3 but we're obviously organising others. Was curious to know if and when we're starting to sell tickets to these games

Will watch that when I get home from work, cheers.

Pretty sure one of the Linfield players punched the Stig in this game but didnt get sent off. Also remember Collymore rattling the post and thinking he's going to be a fucking beast for us. Some other fucking twat slagging me about my cheap ass trainers. I was 13, he was in his 20's. Wanker  :)

We have Europa league games on 2nd and 9th August.  Surprised if we dont have some game before we go to the US.  Hope so anyway coz all this waiting around for the pre-season to start, checking transfer rumours etc. is driving me crazy.

Suprised there isn't more in the US to build "the brand" over there. Isn't one of the games at Fenway?

Cheers for that Kriss. Brought back a few goosebumps at seeing the reds in the flesh for the first time. I wasnt sure earlier whether it was Barnes or Collymore that hit the post. Turns out they both did  :). I was in the Railway stand and am 99% sure Stig got punched haha. Anyone else that was at this game remember this?

It's deffo a Liverpool XI. They did the same last season, (maybe season before?) where they came over and played Dungannon swifts. Glad the game is at Ravenhill, I detest Winsdor park.

should be a decent game whichever team turns up. even better at Ravenhill.

Could be at Ravenhill because it holds more than Windsor as well. If they get the extra seats in and everything is covered safety wise Ravenhill can hold 18,000 or something along those lines, think even with extra seats Windsor holds 14000 :)
