Despite what other web owners may try to claim, Redandwhitekop.com is the top-ranked independent Liverpool FC site in the world.

That’s not just my opinion, it is an official fact using data from ALEXA, the world-renowned company that logs internet traffic.

And the evidence below shows that Redandwhitekop has been a clear leader throughout the whole of 2012 – and indeed for many years.


As some of you may know, Jaimie Antikop from Liverpool Kop(y&paste) likes to boast that he owns the leading LFC fan site – a bogus claim he uses to try to increase advertising revenue and therefore his own personal income.

He even has the temerity to cite ALEXA as the basis for this assertion – even though their official statistics prove that to be a total lie.

As you can see from the following authorised graph, ALEXA has rated Redandwhitekop as around the 22,000th most popular website on the net via its highly-respected traffic-ranking system for the last six months.

In stark contrast, Liverpool Kop(y&paste) averages around the 55,000 mark for the same period and, most notably, has NEVER been ranked higher than Redandwhitekop at any time during 2012.



ALEXA also provides other detailed information about website traffic, but again Redandwhitekop comes out head and shoulders above the opposition.

The following graph shows the estimated percentage of global pageviews for each of the two sites in comparison.



As you can clearly see, Redandwhitekop receives far and away more pageviews than its lesser rival.

The closest Antikop can get to justifying his ludicrous claim to be bigger (or in any way better) than Redandwhitekop is using ALEXA data regarding the estimated percentage of global internet users who visit each site… but again the stats speak for themselves.



For a couple of very brief periods, lasting no more than a couple of days over the last six months, ALEXA estimated that Liverpool Kop(y&paste) had a tiny fraction more global users than Redandwhitekop.

For the remaining period, ie nearly the whole of 2012, Redandwhitekop attracted a significantly higher percentage of global internet traffic.

So remember, if somebody makes a claim – especially one that is designed to boost their own income – please make sure to go and check the facts before you believe them!

As one of the refugees from the lfc.tv forum I can honestly say I've never looked back

Great forum run by great people with a great set of people who use it.

I'm sure a lot of hard work goes into keeping the site running so well done to be officially recognised with proven stats.

Alexa is a pretty cool tool despite the above. It's a fun thing to play around with, just don't take their numbers as 100% gospel. Realize where the numbers come from.

A real quick and more accurate assessment can be done this way...go on Google, type the following in the search bar -- "Liverpool forum" or "LFC forum" or "Liverpool football forum", things like that, and note where RAWK and the others rank when you hit enter. Who's the first listing on the first page, who's lower, who's stuck on page 2 or 3 or 4, etc. Google is essentially telling you which forum they view as most important. That one is the first listing on the first page of search results.

Also, type in the specific forum's name in the search bar (example "RAWK" or "red and white kop". When you hit enter, note the line just below the search bar that says "About xxxxxxxxx results". Compare that number to the ones generated by the other forums.

  Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer. Alexa's cool, and it's not all fantasy, there is some merit to it. I just wanted people to realize the framework it's using. Hey, I always try to get sites ranked high in Alexa, because of this thread's very reason. You can impress non-web geeks with a high ranking on Alexa, which is sometimes handy when you try to pitch your skills to clients. And like I said, it's an interesting tool, I have it on my laptop and peek at it often.

The Google tips I gave are more accurate though and easy enough for any average person to understand and try out.

Thanks for starting the thread though, it's a fun topic. And RAWK certainly ranks high, whether on Alexa or any other measurement. Lots of traffic here, I wish I owned it.

I get your point, you're right, but the average person would get confused using the tools needed to get real traffic info. The Google search results can be gamed a bit (that's what SEO people are paid to do    ), but it's a pretty quick and dirty way to measure that's pretty accurate and easy to do by the average RAWKer.
