Mhmm.

Oh well. Not like he could've joined a paper which wasn't full of c*nts.

Thats the back page that pissed me off the most. Don't know how long it is before you can no longer take someone to court for libel, 7 years rings a bell? but once Suarez leaves Liverpool I'd go at um for blatant libel. As for kenny, guess he can do more good from inside, writing a piece a week than just having his quotes spun until they fit what ever agenda the rag is going for at the time. Fight a good fight kenny!
If the club had any real balls, they'd let Suarez do it now.

Nonsense. Kenny got a (deserved) big payoff from the club. It'll be peanuts hes being paid by the mirror. Strange strange decision

Really? People on here were saying he refused the pay off. Either way, its not a big deal its a free country so good luck to him i say.

Would you say the same if it was the Sun?

Are you suggesting Dalglish would work for the Sun?
It's not the same and it is not comparable because he would never work for the Sun.
The man has his reasons, let him be and read what he writes if it interests you, that's all.

Absolutely pointless question.

Would Kenny ever write for them? Of course he fucking wouldnt.

So whats the point in even asking?

Well with him part of the editorial you'd hope for a little more balance with regards to our club. He's fighting our battles within the media. Good lad.

Kenny got sacked becaus his team were shocking in the league, he bought badly, and showed no sign of improvement in the last ten games with the players giving up on league games likeany members here. The fans had no role in thIs at all.

As usual some OTT reactions on here.

He's not going to be managing anytime soon & he's a football man through & through. What's wrong with him writing a column? The Mirror are shite, yes - but let's be honest, every paper has had a pop at us over the last year.

Leave Kenny be.

Kenny got sacked because of the Suarez affair and his handling of the media. He was already sacked before the Carling Cup. FSG want a more media friendlier club. I'm sure Kenny will give them glowing press. He's a red.

When Kenny Dalglish speaks, we all stop and listen.

So whether we read it in the paper itself, or whether we read it in the inevitable new thread which  be created as soon as his first article is out there, we will all read it and see what he has to say.

Some will want to deny reading it at all, but once its on RAWK (which it will be) we will all read every word.
So this big debate about whether its right or wrong is pretty pointless.

I can say quite honestly that I wont read it whether it's printed, posted or stuck to the back of the shithouse door in work.

I haven't read or bought a newspaper in over 2 years. From the age of 15 until a couple of years ago, I bought and read one everyday. I hadn't believed a word in any of them for years. It was just a life time's habit, but I don't even believe the so called quality broadsheets. So, as for the Mirror, I wouldn't even believe the date at the top of the page without it being verified and a second opinion.

There's not enough hours in the day. I'd say the same for a column written by Rafa, a man I hold in the same high regard. Might be a few nuggets of interest but I just haven't got the time or the inclination anymore. Maybe it's all tied in with my losing interest in the game in general.

Lets all just leave him the Fuck alone. I for one shall make a point of following his collum, couldnt give a shit about where it is to be frank( obvious exception applies of course.) The rest of you dont have to if you dont want to.

Its a bit of a sad day when his morals and credibility are being questioned by some on here, hard enough to take purely on football.

Ah well if your not interested in reading about football in general then obviously you fall into a different bracket.

My point was that as much as people are slagging off his decision and saying how disappointed they are, I bet they will still read what he has to say once its posted on here.

You on the other hand dont seem to give a fuck one way or another, which is fair enough really.

If people are 'disappointed' then I refer you back to my original point - he can pretty much do what the fuck he likes. I'm sure Kenny won't give the 'disappointed' a second's thought. The man needs to make a living and working in the media is an obvious choice for Kenny to make.

Stupid comment, but to be honest any outrage over this and being offended over it undermines the campaign against the Sun, which is the paper that deserves our hate and boycott.

I think there are many valid arguments to justify why Kenny might choose to write for the Mirror, but surely "the man needs to make a living" isn't one of them. Unless he's been on some kind of secret "Brewster's Millions" mission for the past decade.

We have no right to chastise "the Man" until we read his articles.

Any man has the right to make money to provide for his family (as long as he does nothing to tarnish our club) - he earned his right as  the greatest footballer in the history of our team - we owe him the respect even if we do not agree with his every decision.

We have no right to judge a person guilty by association.  We should not discriminate a person just because he works in a place we do not like (just as we should not disciminate against a person because they are from a certain country or race) (The only exception to thsi concept is the Sun because we would expect Kenny to be fully aware of the history).

More specifically people working for his new employers put the boot in. I work with people I don't particularly like but it wouldn't stop  me working there.

In the media business and the sports area of this especially it's virtually impossible not to work alongside someone who hasn't criticised you in the past if you're a sportsperson who has chosen a career in journalism. The parameters are different and skewed when professional sportspeople go to work in the media.

I can understand this point of view, I love football and sports in general but find the absolute crappola spouted by the so called experts almost mind numbing and I very rarely read what they have to say. Same goes for sports Autobiographies, does ANYONE really  believe these multi millionaire egotistical sportspeople are going to 'tell all' about their lives? By and large these books are really, really poor and boring, you get the odd exception obviously but these are few and far between.

Well with him part of the editorial you'd hope for a little more balance with regards to our club. He's fighting our battles within the media. Good lad.

I don't regard a phone call from a ghost writing hack as being "part of the editorial". As far as I know, the hack phones up suggests a few topics, notes what the 'columnist' thinks and then creates the copy and headline.
