Seriously though - 2. Group one, as he's defined it, takes the piss out of supporters. There's no such thing as 'loving' a manager whoever he is: loyalty and trust (much less love!) is earned. Don't really need to go over Hodgson again, do I.
In fact, personally, even the definition for 2 doesn't quite fit. I will accept the man if he proves fit to lead, works obsessively for the club, represents the club and the city in the right manner in the press and in his actions, and shows signs of improvement, even if there are stutters along the way. That's what I buy into.
After that, comes success.
I like a bit of arrogant belief in a leader (if nothing else, it'll protect you from health problems when you fail)...our new man can talk, let's see him walk.
