I think Kenny Rodgers should be sacked just for the sheer cruelty. I thought he was supposed to be one of those new fangled people person managers, with the loving and the cooing in the ears and the arm around the shoulder? Imagine poor Charlie, sitting there salivating all down his Warrior top, looking at the delicious confectionary on offer, and that cruel bastard of a new manager not even letting him get his jaws round one of them. It's like taking a dog to the butchers and not buying it a bone. What next, take Joe Cole to the Safestyle UK factory and not let him lick any of the windows? Infuckinghumane if you ask me.

absolutely, there is no comparison, i think what tends to happen is that some of the arguments get regurgitated about each player and then compared either favourably or unfavourably used......no need to compare the 2, in that i doubt either will be shoe-ins at the start of the season, and quite possibly both could be not here by then....there the comparisons end, not the same sort of player

tend to stick with assertion that adam may be protected by a system where we are more compact and it will suit him somewhat to have discipline instilled into his game in the system we expect from rodgers, whether his strengths provide enough is the question posed i think

twice hes let his man go, and tqice its led to goal scoring opportunities, one which they should of scored and one which they did score. More of the same this season then! Needs to improve defensively.

As he does play a deeper midfield role, he needs to be more tactically and defensively aware. It's become a liability far too often throughout his career with us.

dont get me wrong, i think everyone is aware of the signifigance if the game, but its just a continuaton of last season from him, and its happened twice in this half alone.

When a player makes such a basic error, letting someone drift in behind them, no matter what game it is it deserves criticism.

Personally I don't think this is an awareness issue, he just doesn't work hard enough.

So we're seeing the players on the pitch for only the second time since the end of last season, and we're not meant to discuss it?
Pre-season friendlies may not mean a damn thing in the scheme of things, but they exist for a reason; they let Rodgers get a good sense of his team and who's fitting in well, that applies to us watching too.

Don't think anyone will lose any sleep over the result here? Just being critical of poor play. At the end of the day all of those who are saying everyone deserves a 'chance' under Rodgers to see what they can do before they get shipped out, well these are the chances whether they be pointless pre-season friendlies or not. For a man supposedly fighting for his future at the club he isn't working hard enough. Deflected goal aside.

Look he can be great going forward, but at this level you have to be able to read the game in a defensive context, the injury should have no impact on that ability.

Agger had to try and cover 10 yards for that goal because of a basic error.
